Yes I will agree. I'm a solo social pyrate at heart. At most 1 or two consort fellows. I plan my cruises to last about 2 hours, almost daily. So I might have time to participate or not, depending on schedules. Casual player - login, fight for 20 minutes, logoff - has no time to take advantage of it. But that player might plan once per week the hours to do it. -

Casual player, and taking from plenty of "definitions" across the fórum has like 30 mins or so to spare. 30 mins is not even a full battle. So plan ahead and spare a couple hours for a event session. -

As a national, nowadays 1. kickoff TS and cheer everyone and have advance word on what's going on. 2. Login and immediately plan the session cruise. 3. Go wherever action is planned - squadron pvp, trade escort, coast guard, etc 4. If nothing planned, check server time, consult my notes of scouted trade routes and go sea roving. 5. Spend two hours doing 3 or 4, usually with two pvp encounters. -

We had newcomers up to rank 3 for a while, especially signaled by the ability to use fleets. So why not use that same system as the driving force behind missions ? And if the Conquest requires no leaps over hostile regions I am sure the way to missions is not that long even in regions like Caracas and Margarita is like 10 minutes max. -
OW of course. Sail to the region, enter port battle, enter the others. Obviously it is a nascent idea with room to evolve. I do not think of it as a lobby system. Quite the opposite. A system where PvP at all levels is the last step of conquest. P.S. - Only the PB, as I see it, can be fought empty. The other 4 battles will yield 0 VP if not fought or not contested. To the extra VPs are sort of "optional" and handy if players to spare.

We have Hostility plus Port Battle. I see it as a doorway to a more interactive system, as proposed many times before, of multiple battles. As such: - A Region control will be fought over 5 battles all at the same time. - One Port Battle, as we have it, normal 25v25 or whatever new patches bring. - Four additional OW battles - 4th rates, 5th rates, 6th rates, 7th rates. - 8v8 or similar. - Port Battle yields 3 Victory Points. - Each OW Battle yields 1 Victory Point. _______ 1 PB + 4 OW Battles for a grand total of 7 Victory Points makes or breaks it. Draws yield no points.

There are several fixes for OW interaction. One - missions must always be on enemy territory - depends on where we take mission, presents the vicinity regions. If no enemy regions in the frontier no mission available for anything above Rank 3. Basically to take missions above Rank 3, take missions in a region next to a enemy region. Risky ? Challenging ? Good. It is a game about war. About conflict. Two - to conquer a new region it must be next to a owned region. .... P.S.- Please oh please devise a system where PvE server also takes advantage of the Conquest system. By all means keep PvP out of their server and make their only PvP experience to be Port Battles. Would this be of any interest in the PvE server ? -

Well, I won't deny anything as you put it. It is a alien concept to me and I play games in all media formats for long. It is not a loss of time for me. It is an investment in a hobby. It is impossible. All the patches put on for us to test are populated by suggestions and ideas from ALL community. Maybe not literally but as decided but it is there. The hard is to admit that our ideas maybe didn't work. I know a few that didn't which I supported.
