  1. No loss versus perma loss. Hard bargain but I know where I stand. Millions of players do play ironman perma death games everyday. Plus hardcore doesn't mean less playerbase. That's a myth installed by F2P models.
  2. Sure thing As I said in the post before, it is the order of importance of things. Giving life to OW is dreadful importante to many of us but is not prioritary to setting up the wargame IMO. Mind you one of the things I consider prioritary is having PvE specific content that is not the "mission grinding" or simply roving about. Ship paints can be kept as a sideshow for later.
  3. I am not dismissing any eye candy, I'm just impressed at the degree if importance and proposition of priorities being shared. You know what would be awful interesting ? And looking back to Sea Trials and OW iterations. Close the access for a time, due to implementations, reopen when things are done. Test them. Close again, open when implemented. ad aeternum until release.
  4. So... ... eye candy is more positive than a solid wargame built over a age of sail sandbox openworld game !? Am I Reading this correctly ?
  5. Not trolling but that simple fact, which I won't disagree, is really something that makes a gamer like myself really ... *shake head in disbelief*
  6. That's the entire point in open development and that's what we see in NA, unless the "burning out" is hazing our collective memories. Backtrack and go through all the suggestions threads. You will find that since Land Ho ! upgrade ( april ? ) most of the stuff introduced was our ideas patched together.
  7. If anything, not every game is for everyone, at least we all should know that and it is indeed aimed at a specific audience. In any case Curators are definitely a better choice for reviews. They are not subject to marketing deals for the most part and are representative of community groups as opposed to individuals. http://store.steampowered.com/curators/curatorsreviewing/?appid=311310
  8. I understand now. You means the self-entitlement some of the players give themselves seeking authority or importance over product design decisions while they aren't qualified for that i.e. not belonging to dev team, not a critic. Well, that I can back up and stand behind.
  9. Didn't get what you mean. What does anyone's bank account and hobbies is brought to the discussion ? Maybe I should drop some hobbies and dedicate entirely to pc-gaming... hmmm...
  10. Let's stick with NA shall we ? I am sure a lot of us have game libraries counting hundreds of games and surely large dozens of EA and we are not going to start discussing them, right ?
  11. If missions wouldn't be farmed for hostility it can work perfectly. I still advocate giving Epic Events a reason to be and make them the PvE drive for hostility, not missions.

  12. Question: - no matter the amount of war supplies transported, even if mixed with other hostility activities, it will bump on the 50% combined right ? Asking this because of a full 50% situation where it sums up to any missions being made or pvp being fought. Scenario: hostility is already at 32%. War supplies get transported sum up 50%. Hostility raises up only to 50% no matter what, right ?
  13. What the hell.... ... I go take a nap after dinner and this happens !? Can't leave you kids unattended or you will end up burning the entire place down. Great show of force and unity guys. Seems everyone had a fight huh.
  14. So would you suggest them, out of that first impression, to anyone looking for a US clan ?
  15. Point taken, will keep them and will not delete my character then. Will give them to you 1 day before the wipe then . Out of trolling mode, this is not the first project that gives away different things to members of the community or event winners. It is not a novelty. Actually in those projects there are no BPs. It is impossible to get them by any means not even with real cash. They are truly unique and very few exist. It is not a an idea to yell at tbh. It is pretty normal for development houses and community management to do...since massive multiplayer entered the gaming lingo.
  16. I wrote it regarding the in-game commitment of a Nation as in national effort with help from allies and not a full reliance on allies alone.
  17. I like that it promotes 2 things: - meritocracy, as linked to the "route to PB" actions - attrition on the OW leading to the PB It is a wargame.
  18. Those two pictures, post and signature, make a combo.
  19. If I reset my character in the next 24 hours, which I might, you may have a Cecilia, Agamemnon and L'Ocean if you promise to just sit tight and stop yelling about it. Deal ?
  20. There will always be problems. And we are excellent in finding problems everywhere. Don't we want a healthy age of sail living breathing world ? A naval action wargame ? First big problem is ALTs in different nations. I expect a purge soon.
  21. Allies should never be granted more than 8 slots maximum in a 25 slot PB.
  22. I would dare suggest an alliance should be 2 nations. End of. But that wouldn't kill the meta which in it stead kills bigger opportunities for more war.
