recruiting Red Banner Fleet [REDS] - War Server
Christendom replied to Anolytic's topic in Caribbean server guild recruitment
When 4 nations coordinate attacks on Russia at the same time, playing fair sort of goes out the window. We'll play fair when everyone else does. Is changing the port timers any different than Sweden having a certain Dane clan flip a port for them (and then take it back a couple days later ) so Russia does not attack it at night? Or is it only an issue when Russia manipulates it's ports? Both you and Otto better than this hypocrisy bud.- 409 replies

Actually EU players took those ports and set the timers to the morning so the russians didn't take them. Not many Aussie brits are playing right now, server down time is smack in the middle of their primetime. #KnowYourFacts -

Didn't you quit? No one cares about you anymore babe, just give it a rest. I think combined US time zone players have taken 5 ports or less out of a couple hundred or so in the past month. Aussies have taken zero. I know you haven't been around, but at least get your facts straight before spewing your bullcrap. Stay retired bud. Byeeee -

Not sure why you in particular are being so hostile. You could of taken out this aggression in one of the dozen or so PBs that Russian had against GB where you (and no one else) showed up. The timers were changed because we simply cannot defend our territory from 4 nations at once. This week proved that the "uncoordinated" triple flip (actually it was a quad flip) by Rubli, BF and the Swedes that totally "wasn't planned" that setting timers and playing "fair" only matters if everyone else does. This very much a case of, we wan't you guys to play fair so we don't have to. Get off your high horse mate. -
Patch 14: Part 3 experimental patch increasing realism in ship behavior
Christendom replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
Nations should only be a backdrop in this game. I personally like the idea of 3 major nations be kind of the starting area and if you want to branch out to more advanced stuff you need to leave the kiddie pool and jump into the deep end in a war company/clan/alliance type of situation. I kinda feel like admin made a step in this direction with BR ports and clan owned ports, but just didn't go far enough. -
Seawolf got him earlier in the week. I won't speak for hachi, but losing a vic really means nothing these days. Brits have so many spare victory marks from weeks on conquest board for all the empty ports they used to own, they're very easily replaced. Frankly it's a sad state of affairs if people are sinking 1st rates with carta tar mods/navy structure just for PVP marks...... I'd rather lose vics or oceans all week with thickness mods than lose a copper plated trinc or wasa.

Patch 14: Part 3 experimental patch increasing realism in ship behavior
Christendom replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
I'm not complaining about the lack of targets. Just simply that the amount of RVR players is spread too thin throughout the nations. Things are fine now, but lets say 5 players from Prussia stop playing....that will hamper the Prussian RVR group and potentially restrict them from defending ports (though it sounds like they don't care). Same goes for Poland. Russia is better off with several larger clans. The amount of port battles is a direct result of the lower BR requirements, which is great. To quote the good book, “I feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread.”. That's basically RVR currently. Now if we had more players, that would be different. We don't. The alliance system that was proposed by rediii and myself would solve this issue with our current level of population. We also only have 1 ally and several agreements in place that make sense. After the flurry of PBs last week and this past weekend I'm enjoying the downtime. -

It's basically black and white. If you want to allow "special details", you'll have to keep crack of them as a neutral party. OR just simply remove the option for any special details and simply make it ... a kill is a kill. Another option would be to create a new forum heading and instead of having all the bounties at the top of the page, they create a new sub topic with all the details listed. This would remove you from the equation unless you just wanted to do graphics.- 422 replies

It'd be nice there were some sort of OW resource that players can come across, harvest and sail back to port. It would create another dynamic to the gathering aspect of the game that is missed in naval action. Maybe hover over a spot in the ocean that has like a whale symbol, click fish and harvest oil. Either way, it's content....which is sorely needed. -

If you're going to charge for them (and that's fine) you should include a service where all your stuff becomes redeemable or something like that. Similar to how the global players ended up on EU. -
Patch 14: Part 3 experimental patch increasing realism in ship behavior
Christendom replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
Actually we're trying to improve it. Imagine if a major clan left an alliance or jumped ship before a huge battle? The grand daddy of all MMO backstabbing/intrigue/backstabbing is of course EVE, which has the exact system we are proposing. Just imagine how much more fun it would of been if TDA could of attacked VCO way back when. You guys might not of all quit. Only if you have forged papers. -

If the person who puts forth the bounty has special requirements, those should be met to pay the bounty. If you were an irish furniture craftsman or something and I said, Hachi make me a round table that seats 4, but you make a square one instead. Should I pay you for it? It's a table right? I want what I pay for. So in the future, if we're going to include special requests.....those need to be listed on the black spot thing. The black spot image should basically read like this: Bounty Mark Issuer Special info Expiration date Bloody should also be paid for his time and either he should collect all bounties up front or the person who receives the money should give him a cut upon receipt.- 422 replies

Patch 14: Part 3 experimental patch increasing realism in ship behavior
Christendom replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
In our system you would create the Prussian Alliance. Maybe decorate your own cool flag. You can add the clans you want to it, kick out the rest. Your target ratio goes up. No more cater to people within your nation that offer you nothing. Don't like em? Sink them. Frankly if @rediii both agree on something you know it's a good idea. -

Then your clan creates an alliance and allies with several other clans effectively forming their own nation. Problem solved. -
Patch 14: Part 3 experimental patch increasing realism in ship behavior
Christendom replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
I don't follow. Your clan doesn't limit who you can talk to, just like it doesn't now. In the system I proposed you could have a global chat, clan chat, alliance chat + whatever else. Putting 700 players in 10 different nations seems like it already dilutes the social aspect of the game. Imagine having only 3 starter nations/locations where new players hang out with older vets not interested in RVR. KPR would be swarming with ships at all times of the day. Sounds 10x more social than it currently is right now. A common complaint with the game currently is that new players log in and don't have anything to do and the game feels dead. Imagine if a new player picked up the game and had to start in only 3 locations and each one had a couple hundred people in and around it. -

Christendom replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
Just rough spitballing here. Imagine 3 starter nations. GB, France and Spain. All new players start at one of their 3 locations. Can do PVE carebear stuff inside their zones, but you cannot take territory. Leave the zones and you can pvp. You need to be in a war company or clan alliance to take territory and RVR. Best of both worlds. Think of nations in his game as races is other games. Create a clan or alliance and carve out your own territory and then defend it. Or sit in the safe zones and enjoy your game. Everyone happy. Introduce a reputation system that creates true outlaws and pirates. Kill enough players on the OW and you lose rep and get banned from the starter zones. Sounds glorious
