Spanish clans message to WO & BLANC clans
Christendom replied to Celtiberofrog's topic in Caribbean News
We're already fighting the Swedes, Danes, Pirates and the Brits. And the evening french. We might as well attack the daytime french and get some easy ports out of it too. Whats one more enemy. -
Spanish clans message to WO & BLANC clans

Can't match their numbers during the evening. France is the evening zerg. I'm not telling you how to play. But it sounds like Russia needs to go after some daytime french ports. -
Spanish clans message to WO & BLANC clans

Not the sharpest tool are you. Daytime french clans own about 2/3 of your ports and cannot be touched by Russia, yet you attack Russian ports regardless of clan. You enjoy the benefits of an agreement yet do your own thing. -
Spanish clans message to WO & BLANC clans
Christendom replied to Celtiberofrog's topic in Caribbean News
Well this is an interesting thread. Most folks who know me, know I don't particularly give a crap about how many ports we own or what our dots on the map look like. They're just pixels. Unfortunately this absurdly stupid victory mark system necessitates them. Easy come, easy go. Losing ports or PBs happens. It's a game. While I congratulate Kingy for getting on the leaderboard this week, it's not really that difficult when 2/3 of your ports are paid for by other clans and are untouchable by the very same nations you attack during the evenings because of agreements. It's very much a have your cake and eat it too scenario. Maybe that needs to change. Regardless...VCO will support our friends in El Real Acuerdo whatever their choices. PS - this is just another reason why we should ditch the whole nation bullshit and make this game clan/alliance based. -
Boarding Script
Christendom replied to Landsman's question in Feature proposals and Gameplay Help Q&A
I've been off my boarding game lately, but in theory ping only helps if you rely on last second attacks. If you can make your opponent mismanage his prep, you win. The lack of effectiveness (prior to this latest patch) of marines in 1st rates was a pain in the ass, difficult to get a guy in one board. 400 ping is of course a problem regardless. I'm talking about 80 ping vs 180 - not really that much of a difference. -
Another thought is that with the advent of victory marks, resources to craft 1st rates are finite. And while this might be by design, It does present a problem where far too much power is given to those who got "lucky" with their marks and got special trims and or 5 slots over those who did not get lucky. For example I just crafted a L'Ocean and it was a standard 3/5. Player X in Sweden could craft an Ocean and get a 5/5 sturdy. Neither of us has the ability to just pump out 10 more and hope we get lucky. If all 25 of Swedens ships have 2 extra slots vs 25 Russian ships with only 3, that is quite a disparity If you want to limit the amount of 1st rates in battles, just friggen do it and put a hard cap in place for each BR level. At best this is poor balance and at worst this is just poor game design. RVR / End game content should always be about player skill and player decisions (tactics), not about how lucky they got with their crafting. @admin No one asked for this change. RNG in ship building was almost universally disliked back when it used to be in the game. I mean if you want to spice up crafting bring back crafting regions or make "special" build types require items that only drop from OW fleets. One has to ask........WTF were you thinking?

lol..... didn't we try this bullshit RNG stuff already. They AT LEAST could of made it so special materials = special trims. Making some ports worth while again. Maybe crafting regions? RVR is gonna be a shit show for the next month

Patch 15: Tutorial testing and many other things
Christendom replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
So if you already changed the tagging defenders bit from yesterday, does that mean you were actually wrong then? -
This happened kinda to Sweden with a clan no longer in the game. We obliged them by taking Hat Island, we still haven't given it back. They had their vassals the danes and king of crowns flip the rest for them. Instead of whining on the forums you should be on your batphone trying to get Russia or Spain to flip the other ports for you before RUBLI decides they want to be closer to their feeding grounds. Just a thought

Not a very difficult solution. Assuming the ROGUE clan takes the port this evening you can just re-grind it up and take the port back. This is only a 2 person clan and they cannot possibly defend it, regardless of time. The russian clans will not defend. If ROGUE does not take the port we will grind it up again this week and MAYBE VCO might let you guys have it back :-)

*fault. Consider me not showing up as a blessing. When I do show up you tend to lose. Enough hijacking the thread titty baby.

Curiously out of place here on this thread. Why you heff to be mad? I've done what, triple the amount of contested REAL PBs you have since the merge? Maybe more. Including beating you with relative ease. Nice port swapping with Sweden though. The hypocrisy is leaking out of you. Grow up titty baby. No one cares about you.

If you want RVR and lots of it, go to Sweden or Russia. Despite our constant bickerings on the forums Sweden and Russia are very similar. We're constantly attacking and defending ports, Russia very much so, we have a couple good sized clans that make up the bulk of the RVR fleet and we all more or less work as one nation. We both communicate primarily in english, though in Russia the coms get a little fuzzy when the actual Russians get in the same channel, but we figure it out. Plus Russia has all your old buds from 7up :-) If you to carebear it up and PVP occasionally GB is the nation for you. KPR is always a source of fun and it's nice an central. Most of the RVR there is disorganized and GB always has and always will suffer from the too many cooks in the kitchen mentality. They seem to do well in the shallows though, which seems to be the only place their empire remains stable.

We now know who the 1% is.

A simple buc was worth the price of taking All 3 circles, keeping Hat Island AND watching about 30 EU guys stay up late into Night King hours basically for nothing.
