  1. Personally when I run into a known player in a wasa (while sailing in a surprise), I try to evade it, because a surprise does not stand a chance vs a decently played 4th rate / ship of the line, fact. Even more since you cannot perma-damage sails or crew anymore

J'ai joué avec bcp des jouers des autres nations que moi Comment peux-tu savoir que les trois jouers sont "normalement ennemies"? On peut être des amis avec des jouers d'un autre clan d'une autre nation je pense?

  6. Due to [DNP] not turning up to an agreed date for a battle with [RUBLI], [RUBLI] will get an auto-win and full BR sank to none lost.
  7. Regarding PBs We now have a PB diversity, moved on from 25 mono ship fleets. However from what I have seen it lead to some weird situations where one side in smaller ships was forced to kite and cap zones. What about a different given fleet setup for every port? So e.g. Port au Prince 5x 1st rate 7x 2nd rate 13x 3rd rate And introduce more different deep water ports with 5th rate setups Would serve for variety from port to port and also be fair

We had some chats in discord and were talking about some BR issues (e.g. wasa being placed at the same BR as Connie, Aggie and Wapen while being better at 90% of the stats). @The Red Duke then came up with the idea of a dynamic ship BR. Basically the Battle Rating would then depend on: BaseBR + modules + cannons + skillbooks (+ maybe woods and player stats) Player stats could mess with port battles so not sure on that . So if you had cartagena refit on your ship, it would have an increased BR (maybe 5% of the base BR) Ships with more BR should then also give more rewards when sank. But overall I think having a more dynamic BR system would be great. Would still have to have a look at the base BRs though (wasa, hermione, pirate frig, buc, ...) (We already sort of have this implemented with crew (undercrewed ships have lower BR), so why not go further?)
  9. 12 min cooldown is new (from one of the last big patches I believe) And the carpenters dont reduce the cooldown but rather shorten the time for your crew to complete one repair.
  10. I have recently browsed through the reviews and have noticed a whole lot of new negative reviews from players with about 2-10 hours logged. Main issue seemed to be the lack of tutorial and the very poor UI. The recent sale might have boosted the player pop a little bit but it seems to have had a much more important and bigger negative impact regarding reviews. Those reviews are most likely never going to change before the tutorial and UI is done (given the players also re check the game).
  11. Brace heisst soviel wie sich in Deckung begeben um mehr geschützt gegen kannonenkugeln / Explosionen zu sein. Aber während brace aktiv ist kannst du logischerweise auch dein schiff nicht manövrieren / kannonen abfeuern. Mit H (standard einstellung) (de)aktivierst du brace. Hat glaube einen cooldown von 5 Minuten.

  14. Problem IMO is you cant really balance combat settings by increasing the labor cost. If live oak didnt have any negativities in combat, why use anything other than said wood? After all this is a game and some tradeoffs have to be made for gameplay balance purpose

  18. is getting to do PvP (equal PvP) on a PvP server not enough reward?.. Sure, some paints for pvp marks would be nice though.
  19. my main issue is that in most cases players are not willing to risk anything in an engagement where they got a fair chance of winning. I really don't understand why. Ships are so cheap to build nowadays, so why not actually use them in pvp on a pvp server?

  21. well no there is... its just that it keeps getting harder to find as in hours wasted doing nothing and that once you won vs someone he will likely not want to fight you again.
  22. Update: Tournament room has been brought back - Will use that one from now on (luckily there are only 2 battles done so far). PM me when you got a date for a battle with another team and we will see which ref. can make it.
  23. @admin Thanks for the tournament room But could you please edit it and write that its for the participants of the current 3v3 tournament and that registration is closed? Im getting some msgs here.
