Let me get this straight: you complain about rule changes during the tournament, but you wanted the rules to be changed during the tournament to exclude certain ships that were supposedly OP even though everyone had the same opportunity to choose those ship types that were maybe OP? Let me remind you that out of the "top 4" teams 3 of them, including the first and second place, didn't use the Essex. About the change of fight length: everyone knew how long a match they had to play and how much time they had to win. Most teams also played matches both before and after that rule change. So I don't see how that was terribly unfair. I also didn't see the judges do anything to favour any teams. Most judges and organisers also have no connection to TDA, so implying a bias in their favour is pretty far fetched. We all make excuses for not winning. RDNN's excuse is it was all my fault, and also we didn't have the best team and was never going to win. We were there to participate and have fun. SORRY's excuse I guess is that it was everyone else's fault. Shouldn't come as a surprise I guess.

The reason the alliance between Sweden and Danmark falls out occasionally is a bug that has been reported and according to Ink been identified and will be fixed with the patch. Most danes know this and consider Sweden and Danmark allies even when politics tab doesn't show it, but you can never make a guarantee for all players of a nation so be careful or good.

Afaik all the current L'Ocean BPs in the game are in the hands of the Brit-US-Dutch coalition. They are managing fine to share those ships between their nation. When we finally have the BP in the other coalition I would hope we are at least as good. I know the OCEAN players to be friendly and helpful and I have no reason to think they would keep the L'Ocean to themselves, and I'm definitely not going to judge them in advance. You're a Swede, right? Just keep all the materials (including 3 labour contracts) handy and hope for the best. Information is about 2 weeks old and afaik there hasn't been a hotfix for it, so information should be current. Anyway, if they fix the Aga battle rating at the same time the Ingermanland or Connie will still be the preferred ships for Port Battles, just like even with the L'Ocean around the Santi will still be the preferred ship.

The Agamemnon still can't go into normal deep water PBs last I checked.

Was going to send the same link as Wind, but I think he's asking for the in-game mouse-over information to be more informative or precise. The likely answer to that is that the modules are still being tested and adjusted or even replaced, so it is no point looking closer at the module descriptions until closer to release.

I prefer the blueprints given out for skill over luck anyday.

You really believe L'Ocean BP is going to stay a special event thing forever? They never said anything of the sorts. The patch introduced the L'Ocean BP as a special event reward, it never stated it would stay that way. Plenty of ships and BPs have been limited in their access at the beginning for various reasons including testing, before being released to the general player base. Also, it's less than a week from the patch, for all we know the L'Ocean BP will stay as a no drop item for 3 more days before the patch changes it into something we can get from crafting. Or it may stay rare. Devs have done or said nothing wrong in this matter, and I think it is great of them to support player initiatives like this. They should do it more often. I would even suggest the Santa Cecilia become a reward for the Small Battle Challenge that Fellvred organises (in full knowledge I will never be able to win it there myself).

When you disconnect your ship will put down sails and stop, then after 2 minutes (I think) without reconnecting ship will raise sails and try to sail away at best angle. If I remember it correctly. Not sure this applies when it's the server that disconnects though.

If you do, make a report in-game and on the forum and they will probably replace it. Not that we shouldn't all expect to loose shit occasionally in an alpha game, but they're usually very helpful and replace stuff that people loose due to server crashes. I was in a Fleet order with a Victory myself. I hope this is an easy thing to fix and doesn't require them to go back and replace lots of stuff. That could delay the patch. I would rather face the loss of my 3/5 Victory with golden upgrades than cause a delay to the patch.

Like Apina said. Number 1 is good, and I really hope they make an in-game shop where we can buy (historical) paint schemes and so on. The rest would be create some resemblance of pay to win and would drive a lot of people away. Premium ships have been discussed by devs, with the added requirement that premium ships would be pretty but not superior to similar ships available to all. I still think premium ships would be a bad idea, but I would gladly pay real money for paints. Would be kind of poetic also, since sometimes this game feels a bit like watching paint dry.

Some say that marines are OP. That may be, but everyone can have them. If you loose 200 crew first round then that's a failure of strategy.

My opinion is that if any "neutral" status should be introduced, then it should be exactly like war, except without the ability to attack each other's ports. And I don't think making such a change should be any kind of priority. That is not true. The system is currently as you suggest (alliances can be resigned after one voting round has passed, same with wars). The reason that alliances expire occasionally despite being voted to renew, is that there is a bug currently so every few rounds all voting outcomes aren't counted. Devs have stated it should be fixed with the coming patch.

To be quite honest all the recordings of this match being unwatchable was a good thing in my view. My own role in the outcome considered. However, I can't pretend like I don't have a recording of the match: On the plus side, I guess you could say, I ended up watching significantly more of the match in free cam mode than what I anticipated. TS audio has been edited out due to cursing not appropriate to the era/ear. Possibly the commentary from the stream could be edited onto this video, but I haven't endeavored to do that.

I want my prize money to go back into the prize pool for next week. Here's a video of tonight's event btw: This was my best event battle so far, and I might have done even better if I hadn't gotten myself boarded like an idiot. How are the clans ranked? Does there need to be a certain number of captains from a clan participating to be counted? I don't see RDNN there. Nvm I just read the OP again. But why can't the highest ranked 2 players of a clan be counted if only 2 players from a clan participated? RDNN would be 6th. Also, the "highest ranked new player" category is a bit unclear.
