Yah I don't understand this. I even brough up something cool to do for the pirates since they get one ship in the pirates den and all the other natiosn get 8 ships. Give them the H. Rattler, but now that I see these ships might not be some odd random BP drop from a kill or something they could prob put one or two of them in the pirates shop or even other players, but don't take them out completely for now. This just cut out some of the main ships a lot of folks used. I used the Rattler and Niagara all the times in the shallows.

Maybe add some more ships to the Pirate Den since the other 7 nations get the Aggy and SOL's (8 ships to pirates 1)? I hear the Niagara, Rattlesnake and Ingermanland are going to maybe be used for something in the future, but hay why not give them to the prates as ships for now....we need some balance. If other natiosn want them they can trade or capture them. I originally stated the H. Rattler for this spot before I found out they are suppose to be for some future quest line, premium and other things. That and the Nats will cry if you did this, but this will make Pirates the master of the 5th rates and Nat's the 4th rates and above.

I didn't really see a problem with the labor hours, it's the cost of the Iron, Fir and Oak to produced that every one was complainig about. I honestly have yet to run out of labor hours for the most part. Though this might help more the solo players it still doesn't address the cost issues most of us have brought up.

Random RNG leaves to much trouble in things. I had only got one drop mods in the last few days "Turning Trim" that is it. While other guys i know have gotten tons of them in my clan. Though what I would love to see is some of the refits for certain nations be nation exclusive. Pirates are made only by pirates. British by British, French by French and so far. So that when you capture a ship with one of these refits from one of these nations it makes that ship even more special prize than just another random ship. THis will make each nation have it's own little perk or difference from the other nations other than just flag and location on the map. Prob in that one time zone...there will always be some one that it will be in the way of.

I think the 90's is fine, but remember look at how much crew it takes to do the repair, it hogs up your crew big time which slows down your reload and effects your sailing. Than get some one like me that nails you with grape when I see your repairing and watch it take even longer when you got into crew shock. You can mess some one up if they don't pull away any way from you while repairing.

You didn't loose it and still there is a need for it, but as for demasting it was like every one and there mother was doing it now compared to how it was, it's only the top and mid mast that got added HP's so it's not even like they removed it, just made it so it takes a few more hits. I kinda felt like the 15 mins was a bit to long. I posted 12 mins would be a good number back on test bed cause I felt like 10 was a bit to fast. We will see maybe they will find that it needs to be adjust to something between the two.

If you have a Swing Bed and Eldvateing screw or other mod attached are they still there and will work when fixed or where they completely removed from game for now? I have one on one ship is why I ask. Glad the refits aren't random drops, but still think they should be per nation for the most part (Pirates get the Pirates, brits get the brits, french get the french). Will have to see when I get in game about the other stuff, but sounds like some good tweeks.

Wait you never knew that was a nick for the willy AKA little man? Every one thinks my name is from Full Metal Jacket. As you can see in my Avator it's off an old concerts shirt from a DEADHORSE (local Houston Metal band) that I got NYE 96 when I was home on leave from the Navy. Still got the shirt and wear it still. Folks started to say it all the time when I wore it so I started to use it as my game tag to replace LIKEORASGOD (My first name is Michael and that is what it means). To many folks keep asking me if I got all religious or something with that name. Really you didn't know what One Eyed Snake was? LOL thanks for the good laugh man. -

I been reminding him daily about it since he made that comment and we still haven't gotten a copy. I don't think they even have a copy of the tree to be honest cause they never done the math. You will hit RA 10 over before you even get to one 1st rate. You hit the RA level of xp by the 2nd Connie slot. That is if you don't even try to go up more than one tree and some of the 1st rates you have to unlock something to even get the 2nd slot. So 3 slots is not the norm. Specially when you ahve to unlock some ships to 5 slots to even do the 3rd slots on others. This is just BS. I love the rest of the partch but this part right here is goign to drive a lot of players away along with the RNG drop for mods (it's just gold marines all over again as only the lucky will get the refit/mod drops).- 75 replies

I'm wondering how some one got the Aggy so soon, how many port battles have ya'll had over there so far? It though they took a good number of Conquest marks for the SOL/Aggy's BP's and Permits. Don't know the numbers as I'm a pirate and all I get is the Pirate frigate in the shop. Don't they also get PvP Marks for all there kills and assit in the battle too? So it wasn't just Conquest Marks they farmed it was PvP Marks too.

The 2 min lock out is for the top 25 folks. If you where the top 25 than you should get in before any one else. If you are not you have to wait. That is why I said we should be able to gain agro after the port been flipped so all those that want to be part of that first 25 cans go get more agro to make sure they enter the fight first.

While I understand we want to get all the biggest ships in and the best thing to do is wait to do so. When I was running my third account as a baby Dan to help the Danish players with port battles by giving them an extra US time player to show up to some, If I showed up to SEA prime time I would ask, "Do you have enough?" They would say yes or they would tell me to enter after the rest of the players. Once I was able to bring a Mortar Brig I started to bring that as it was the only way I could be effective in the bigger battles and they where cool with that. This is one good way to get involved, talk to the bigger guys and bring something that can be of use so they can free up one of there higher ranking guys to be in a higher ranked ships. As for the guys taking slots. I'm sorry you should of gotten agro if you didn't want any one else to join first before your guys, though with this I think we should be able to get port battle points even after the port battle was set. This means that if we have 5 guys that want to be apart of the port battle they can go grind some fleets the day before and be able to join with the rest of the team. As one of the biggest clans in our nation on PvP2 we where pretty much all the RvR on the pirates side but had a bunch of guys from other clans that joined us. They normally filled in the slots that our 15-20 couldn't (normally about 5 guys extra). Many times we where short handed and would of invited even a lower class ship to join just to fill our numbers. A lot of times even the small ships. We actually recruited a lot from guys that just showed up every time we where doing agro or fighting cause you showed that you want to be apart of things.

Conquest Marks

This is close to what I stated before. Though I added that both side winner or looser that FOUGHT and did damage to get a ASSIT AND/OR KILL got one conquest mark. This will encourage folks to show up cause they would still get something if they still fought. We won many a fights out number on PvP2 so it's not impossible. The winners still get the 1/3/5 marks for the win, but if you did any damage you get 1 conquest mark win or lost. The problem right now is the rewards only rewards winners and in a way to just scream to be abused in both Port Battles and OW fights. I already seen folks try to kill steal so they can get there PvP/PvE marks in OW fights and I've hear others mention folks popping in and than trying to block them and get the kill and loot. The current system is very much encouraging this. I also think xp should still be reward for damage done. Keep the Credits and PvP/E marks to kills/assist but xp should be still rewarded off your damage done. That way some little newb that helped but did little damage but not enough to get a kill or assist will still get reward. You loose or sink you still get rewarded for the damage you did in fight. You just won't make any credits or PvP/E marks unless you sink the ships. Cause right now the rewards are very one sided. You can have a port battle where I send 5 guys to cap circle C while the other 20 of us take control of B and meet the defenders main fleet. Maybe they want to all stay and fight us so those 5 at C don't see no action. We have a big brawl between B and A and the battle is over with us being the winners. We sunk 15 of there ships but only lost 5 of ours. Well the system above would mean every one on the wining team will get there 1/3/5 marks for the victory, but every one on both sides will get the 1 mark for fighting the fight. This will encourage folks to fight and try to win. 25 vs 20 should of won it but they didn't and took to many lost. Though cause of the tactics we made sure all parts of the fight was cover, but why would we reward the guys doing there job less just cause they didn't see as much actions. When in the military and you have an action medal for being part of that war/battle every one got it that was there, the cook even got it. Even though he might of been back at base making sure every one had a hot meal when they got back. -
I haven't look d at all the details but this is exactly what these type of rewards systems encourage folks to do. Dead need to honestly look at the way the r wards ar give or you will have more of this. I already seen folks try kill steals in OW battles.

Yah but I didn't expect them to let ya'll capture every ship, maybe keep the SOL restriction. Just cause you can do it, doesn't mean it's all ways the best path to take...lol

It's also the problem why every one and there mother comes out in one right now. It's like a swarm of them when you show up.....lol I'm one of those cannon makers in ours and I put up my level one shipyard today. Will prob have the level 2 later this week. We all ready have one player doing LVG's and Indaiman's if need be. So yah we can get thigns done fast, but the thing is should we be treated like a newbie or should we be able to get up into those mid ranges? No one is saying you need all 5 slots unlocked to PvP. I done plenty this week without any locks other than a slot or two. The issue is a lot of folks hate you have to grind through all the ships below pretty much to get any more than two slots unlocked and you have to pretty much master every one of them. I'm more a privateer fan, but doing the Pickle cause I want to get into the snow for shallow water trader hunting cause currently it's the only shallow water with forward guns and well we can't craft the Niagara either. My other shallow water fav hunting ships other than the rattlesnake. Don't know why we can't craft these if they are in the shop (Niagara is) and both are on open world. What is up with that?

It's cause it's one of the lines you go up for the tree's. So after the basic cutter you can go up the Pickle Line or the Privateer. The pickle line is the one that most will want if they plan to get into SOL's. Went up to the shallows with some cannons to set up my pickle on my alt. He went out in the basic cutter cause he only has one slot open. First mission I get is a Rattlesnake. Second I get is a Brig. Than I went to do some higher level with a clan mate in a brig. We got a Mercury but that was a Marauder level mission. Yah I don't htink they are even balanced at all. Why am I fighting ships with twice my crew and three levels over me in the midship level starter level missions? No new player is going to know how to sink these. Navy Brig is not in any of the tree's it's on the side of one. Basically you have to unlock the Brig to 5th level before you can unlock the 3rd slot on the Navy brig, but itsn't needed for any ship above it's level. The reason we got two 5th rates so folks can get out of the lights and into frigates which is where the main action is for the majority of the players that have been around for ever. We can't jumping back into SOL, but we sure as hell want to not be in basic cutters.

They shouldn't, but most of us aren't new players. Some of us have been on Testbed grinding these things out for months testing bugs and working for a better game. We don't want to be in a basic cutter. We should be able to move quickly into the mid tier and play from there. You have to remember the majority of us where RA/Curse and had full crew and now your throwing us in basic cutters and expect us to start over. I have over 4.6K hours in this game and that is just on one char, I have others with over 1K hours. I put a lot of hours into this game. I really don't feel I should be held back cause I should be playing as a new char? New plaeyrs will be limited on there crew so they won't be in a heavy frigate the second day. I'm not I have 1100 crew, well if I could afford them so I want to be able to use them and not worry about lost of crew or be able to have my fleet if I want to go grind AI ships for agro and money with my buddies in my clan. No one is saying they should, again many of us ARE NOT NEW PLAYERS. Though we are seeing very bad early level road blocks for those new players that they will hit. There needs to be a better curve. Easy to get into small cheap ships, hard to get back into big expensive ships, but this doesn't mean I should be stuck in a cutter every time I get sunked. Well put....we aren't new players..... I think the problem is they expect us to play this as new players while having our rank and crafting levels and want to be mid tier so we can get into the RvR and OW PvP that many of us enjoy. Yah many folks enjoy the small ships and I'm one of them, but I love frigates too. I don't want to be stuck grinding every freaking ship over that I played over many hours and didn't like. I should be in the ships i love and be able to level those ships up to be master in them. Right now we have to master every ship in game if we ever want to master a 1st rate. I never been in a game that makes you master every thing. You only master what your char build is and needs. Wold of tanks allows you to skip through tanks you don't want to play after a unlock or two. IF the ships unlock was one or two slots I think folks wouldn't complain so much. But when I have to master a ship to move up the tree that is a pain. Which by the way is something we still haven't gotten an answer on, what is the exact tree any way?

@admin Not trying to sound like a broken record but once again can we get a copy of an OFFICIAL Ship Knowledge Tree and not the one my clan made up on testbed. As we don't have all the ships on it. Also can we get an official word about what is up with the Rattlesnake, Heavy Rattlesnake, Niagara, and Ingermanland and how we can get the BP's. Toss the Wappen in there as I seen folks ask about it too. I heard that some of them you can get some special way, ok well what is that? We all know the SC is a reward ship, but has the others been added to that list or is there some other way to get the BP's for them and which ones can be gotten in game. PAINTS? What up with these? Heard some folks getting all the new crafting mods stuff but haven't heard any one getting one single paint yet. Are these perm removed for now or something or will there be some other way to get them? Can you explain maybe the way how refits drop now since they aren't part of a region? I mean why don't Pirates get a pirate refit auto. British get the British refit? Etc etc. Instead it's all RNG based now and more than likely you will never see your own nation refit with bad luck on RNG. Still what is the point of owning regions than? I can go into most regions and buy some of these special things needed for refits in ports with just a smuggler flag so that doesn't make owning a region really that important other than if it holds an important resource you need.
