And they can capture ships in the OW, they can team up with another smaller weaker nation and attack the stronger one at the same time. There is plenty you can do. If the big nation can't send numbers to more than one fight they will loose on or the other. They can't just teleport and be at every battle. Fight smart and fight fast....

Take a look at the Pirate Frigate vs the Frigate. We can maybe have them have this option. The ship will use the same model as the normal and even look the same in game, but when a pirate puts a refit on or they can code the new ships, it gives the ship maybe higher grade guns on the upper deck or even lower, more crew and maybe some speed/turn buff, but take away structure (I think the Moral Buff has been removed from the ship but I haven't built one). The refits will be a pirate version of the 5-7th rate ships the devs pick to make them Pirate only ships. They would be the masters of the 5th rates and below. Though I would say they can still sail something above only if they capture it while an outlaw. Than we know that any National will hunt down that pirate while he has that stolen ship. They can only get 4th rate (the Aggy would be a good pick) if they are in Privateer status and nothing bigger. Though on a twist this means that Nationals can't capture ships as they have to turn them in to the Admiralty as a prize not keep them. Many very famous pirates where Naval Officers at one time. It wasn't until there was no war they turned to piracy. Than when a war started they would get a pardon and become Privateers or get active Naval service as an officer once more. You know as well as I do they other 7 nations wil never go for us having the Rattlesnake Heavy BP and they don't. Even though Pirates should be the master of the shallows and light frigates while the other nations can be the master of the Heavy and SOL's. Toss in the Niagara with that and it would make it so. This would be the more simple way to balance the shop. I would say toss in the older 4th rate Ingermanland cause the Nats have the Aggy. It's no where close to being as powerful but than most pirates would have older ships wouldn't they. Would be nice if we actually knew what this new feauters they had plan for these ships was. Even more the ops on the patch notes yesterday that said they where going to give us 3 heavy frigates..... Though my dream would give use the Rattlesnake Heavy and the Santa Cecilia and I'll call it even.....*GRINS* Again the other 7 Nats would never stand for this even though they have the Aggy and 7 other SOL's.

Basic Cutter needs a change
Sir Texas Sir replied to a topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I never had an issue with officer replacement cause I sold ships too. I would have enough redeemable xp to either get half way up the rank or fully. If i wasn't full than I would just take the 1st rate out at kidds and grind a fleet or two and bang I was rank 10 again. The folks I see that had problems weren't PvPers, they where PvErs that hardly did any thing other than sit in port. -
In outlaws if you cap a ship it will still list it as red. Just make sure you retreat it and you can keep it. It doesn't say it's in your fleet though. It's a big buggy but haven't had the control perk issue yet. Oh funny thing you can keep attacking and boarding your own ai fleet over and over until you just leave the fight. Though this prob needs to be looked into since it locked ya'll in to the fight.

Ship Upgrade Knowledge Routesknowledge

I take the same stand with if it's a group of 3 players or one with 2 AI's in his fleet. Either way your still attacking 3 ships total, I just know the AI's are going to be kinda stupid in battle so that gives me more of a chance over three players, well unless it's three NPG, I mean US, crap I mean PvE players..... That is the other thing is I look at the players name if I know them and the nation too. Got to say some folks I will attack on sight even with AI's cause I know how bad they are at fighting. Kinda feel sorry for some folks i have sunk multi times and I'm not even that great at this game.- 75 replies

Yah don't know why they took them out until they have what ever is the new stuff they plan to put in for them. Yah it was interesting fighting a few in the shallows this morning.
-
Yah but don't have it stuck at max 16 on the slide bar either. That was annoying cause most the time it was in batches of like 12, 14, 24.....

I'm not a big fan of bumping either one up. Just like I didn't like the fact they speed up the perks points you gain. I think 1 per rank was fine. Worked great for the rest of us as we ranked up with it. Now what they should do is split Combat and Crafting perks. Just like you get one perk per rank (think it's now 2) until you reach a total of ten. Instead of having to split these between combat and crafting perks lets make all the crafting perks tied to your crafting level. So you gain one point for every 5 levels you have in crafting to a max of 10 Crafter perks. This will allow folks to run the persk they want for crafting which can increase there wallet and hourly produced labor and not be hinder by there combat perks. That way a player with a Rank 10 char and level 50 would basicly be a master of both, but you can have some new player that is rank 5 but 50 crafter cause all he does it craft things and run econ. Or you can have a rank 10 char with crafting level 1 cause he hates it and only wants to PvP. Right now it feels like other than to build SOL's anything above crafting level 35 (4th rates ships) is pointless other than for the extra labor hour pool.

Oh I agree we need to get back out there, but that isn't going to happen in a day or week. We need to build up stock and get those shipyards up to the levels to craft those ship. Before patch I had so much stock I could do a 1st rate almost every day for a week and not run out, but that is after a year and half of playing. In one week your not going to get stock like that. Maybe a few weeks from now I'll be able to pot out a 5th rate on notice to be right back out there or others can be, but right now we are in a building stage so don't expect that at this moment.

Well when you copy and past it back in future hotfix can you maybe add the Heavy Rattler to that list. Let us pirates be the master of the shallows and the other Nat's can have there high tier SOL's....but they would never go for that even though they have 8 ships compared to our one right now.... Yah I think they are added prices in the wrong place. All they do when you jack up the shop prices is folks think, well hell they can sale those for that much I can sale this crafted ship for more and get a bigger profit. Is it the lower level guys that aren't 50 crafters that are having a problem or is it they are trying to craft every thing fast and not take it's time. You shouldn't be building a ship in a day. It took me a week to get to a surprise on testbed building wise with the help of the redeemable and three chars. So that is like a small clan helping each other. Solo player will take longer. The problem is folks are so tight on gold and mats they aren't sharing or trading right now and you won't see any one for a while doing so if things stay the same. This is honestly my bottle neck is the cost to produce the goods. You add up the cost of Coal (it's not so bad), Oak, Iron, Fir buildings and I can't produce enough cause I'm short on money. It takes way to much gold to withdraw and I"m not making enough off cannons yet I'm saling in the shop to keep producing so they are actually gaing stock in them. I pull them out...than i"m broke. I go grind and trade and than go back and pull a little more out. I don't do the econ trade for items since that is a pain and takes time away from me going out and PvPing or gridning ships for xp for my ship knowledge that is killing me cause I don't wnat to be in all these little ships.

I think he means like the high notes and the Meds that where still in the crafting section.

Yep same here....nothing new unless we are missing something.

Admiralty refits - bonuses information
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in News Announcements & Important discussions
I actually like it better this way cause it means pirates wouldn't try to out run a ship with the wind, it's all about taking them up wind or escaping from bigger prey that way cause they can't go up wind. Most of the large Navy ships won't be able to catch some one with good up wind speed and that seems more logical to out run something with way more sails than you and should have way more top speed at a run than you. -
Too much trading, and not enough Combat:
Sir Texas Sir replied to Yar Matey's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
Have you even tried to produce Coal, Oak, Fir or Iron? That little money is chump change if you have 5 production buildings up helping your builders out with stuff. I do agree right now to much tradeing/grinding and not enough fighting but it's only been a week. Give it time in a week or even month from now more folks will be stable and free to be out there fighting all the time and only have to pop in to do a quick econ. Though the Devs need to check there numbers. They are all freaked out if you make over a million when some of there production takes almost that much to empty them all out at once. We should be making enough that we can pay for our production either through grinding/combat or trading but many of us aren't. I have two buildings almost full that I just take a little out at a time as I need cause I can't afford to produce a large amount at once and do other things. I haven't ran out of labor hours either, it's not an issues it's the cash to get things going and than still have time to go out and PvP/raid. -
pirates using outlaw battles to keep traders safe

Wow man you might want to go check you BP or something, don't want you to kill over, so much hate and name calling. Well As I just noticed where this was I'm heading off this topic too. I take it you prob don't play pirate either? It's always the Nats that act like this and think like this. LOL Later. -

What stopping you from taking closer ones? On GLOBAL Brits all ready took at least one closer and so did the US. To be honest Morgan Bluff which we might loose isn't very close and Rum Cove on Kidd's Island is even further away and prob any one else has to go so don't give me the "IT's to far from us." BS. You don't have to make cannons out of coal, you can stilil use Mediums and Carros until you get it or make the run and charge folks for it and make a killing. Sounds like some one wants easy mode.

pirates using outlaw battles to keep traders safe
Sir Texas Sir replied to King of Crowns's topic in Tribunal - Трибунал
Wow some one sounds a bit butt hurt, tell me where the mean pirate touched you? You don't get it we have to be part of the national conquest so we should get the same things until we get our own mechanics. No one is asking for "GOD MODE PERK." We are asking to make us more like pirates or stop taking things away from us while we are treated as a nation. -
Dangit I keep forgetting your PvE. Was like dang you all ready in Bellona's and where the hell did you get those Ingernmanlands? Since we can't craft them currently. UH it's a flag missions so yah they will have a bigger fleet. I found that the missions tend to be geared for the most part for 4-5 chars and more. Though that is a bit heavy handed there on the balance, It's normally all ways one or two ships more. Wow that is taking way to longer try this next time. Make sure you keep your prep up above 60. Attack. When they go to defend you hit them at the last moment with Grenade or Muskets. Brace to get your prep up above 60 or Attack if it still is and repeat above. You get there Moral down fast this way. Moral breaks the fight no matter what. Than you can do an attack if they do deck cannons and it hurts (only do if you have more crew them them). Or if they grenade you use deck guns and it will normally do more damage than they do. The main thing is get that moral down. Normally by the third time you will be able to attack on it popping the Deck guns and beat it. It will cut you boarding in half pretty much.

Pirates and ships.
Sir Texas Sir replied to Sermion's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
Yah they should have there own BP's. That was the problem with what they set up, they didn't balance it. If your goign to give 7/8th's of the map factions an edge than you need to give that 1/8th group it's own edge. There has been many comments that have stated things that would help balance things out. We are missinging a few low level ships in game right now that would work great as pirate raid ships so they are pretty much the master of the shallows while the other nations can be the deep water master. Yah most of us are fine with the trade thing if we got something in return to like more 5th-7th rates that might be pirate only or special. I stated give us the Heavy Rattler in return, but bet you we will hear a shit storm from all the Nationals if we had this ship and they didn't in there shop. I think it's funny they don't have a problem with us being limited, but lets put some limtis on them. I'll mention one below. I'm going to bet your a National Player aren't you? That or you don't get into PvP or RvR much? Just wondering cause most of the folks that want to take more away from pirates aren't the pirates. THough I agree we need to be Pirates and not a bastard nation or the redheaded step child. Even better if you want us to be more pirate like than we get to capture ship, all ships up to 4th rates or even lets make it 5th rates for sure. Than we can say 4th rates and SOL's we can only capture players ships. Though on the flip of this Naval offers weren't allowed to keep there prizes, so they can not capture any ship other than plaeyrs 5th rates an below. If they capture a 4th rate or SOL it will be sent back to the Admiralty and they are paid a prize. So in effect only pirates can capture SOL's not nationals. Than take us out of the conquest and have perm lands/ports to raid out of and give us a proper raid system so we can be more pirate like. Yep until we get a proper pirate mechanics and not treated as a Nation by the Devs than we should be treated like one of the 8 Nations as long as we are appart of the Conquest system too.
