I could of asked this in the patch discussion but was more thinking in general what have folks gotten from these missions. Have any one done the new 4th rate ones? I haven't found on yet for our guys to try it, but wondering what the rewards have been for either one. Have they changed in the 1st rate ones? I haven't even done the 1st rate epic but a few clan mates tried them before the merge and it was pretty tuff even for out guys use to fighting 1st rates. Which means not sure I want to see what the buff up 4th rate ones going to look like lol

They sound like a bunch of carebears, I bet they prob are US or something? I'll sink them any time i see them, cause we don't need those types around in game. GUILD, that is even worse than a clan right? On a side note OSHA was signed into effect in 1970 so way out of time for game....lol -
Why Fleet Perk?
Sir Texas Sir replied to Slim McSauce's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
When they half the requirements for the perk points I though it would of been better to instead of getting 2 points ever level to have some perks auto learned each level. 1 fleet perk would of been one of them, along with area control which I think should be effective for all ships as there is no reason for some one to escape you when they are that close (just like that stupid coward perk.) I also think crafting perks should be tied into your crafting rank not your combat level. This way you can have a char that is Rear Admiral but has zero crafting rank so he has no crafting perks. Than you can have a 2nd Lt that never fights, but he's a Master crafter (rank 50). He has 10 points that go towards crafting perks and a few combat perks only. Than you have your maxed out chars like most of us. Rear Admirals with Master Crafers (Level 10 chars with Rank 50 crafting). You get 10 combat points for being level 10 and you get 10 crafting points for being Rank 50. This way one char can do both (no need for alts for the casual player). Other wise you have to do what I do I have one char that has all crafting perks and that is all he does, he sits in port and makes my ships. Lil Texas will prob never see any combat unless it's just too goof around. SO yah I think we can do something like have a few perks you earn as you level up auto. Than maybe have them be able to buy a few perks to fill out there char as they level up. -
Spanish clans message to WO & BLANC clans
Sir Texas Sir replied to Celtiberofrog's topic in Caribbean News
I didn't even know we had any deals with US other than the free trade runs between the two nations for woods. Other wise we are free to attack each other for PvP, though I did get a chuckle the other day when some one said, "Lionshaft and some of his guys are going to come screen for us." It was one battle and it was in the La Tort area which almost every one has a port. I think it was more they wanted PvP than they have any deal with us. That is why you didn't see them last night. Really right now WO/BLANC is the top RvR for the US time zone cause of numbers. Ya'll got pretty much all the good RvR players from GB/US/France global into one group and that made ya'll the power house while the rest of us (mostly pirates) went Russia (some still stayed pirates) and as our numbers where small before the merge it's even smaller now. I mean just look at some of the battles where you can bring a big screening fleet along with your PB fleet. Your the big dogs cause of numbers mainly. That and experience cause man we made a crap load of mistakes last night, that was my first PB since the Merge and evne than I haven't been in a port battle in months cause I stepped away from the game. As for any thing just have fun and keep it up, I really don't see any one one porting any one unless they are just dicks. Well maybe the US right now cause they pretty much are down to just a few ports. Prob a good reason for folks to stop rolling on them and pick a bigger nation. If I can make a guess that is why we are helping each other. Us has been getting hit pretty hard by France and Prussia lately (well hard for them that is). I kinda would love to see them take some ports back or even take a few gulf ports. Which would mean they have to understand GB is not helping them so they need to stop being carebear buddies with them. PS be warned I might ly get a green on green report if I ever end up on the same side in a fight with Lionshaft, you know old habits see a name and shoot....lol Exaclty, we make our own content and it should be that way. Only time I ever had problems with others is the guys that can't move on and hold old grudges or that won't change to make there nations better. Until than Rolplay on and enjoy the good fights. I sadly sunk twice yesterday and my mind set was....oh look I can clean out dock space to make some of these new ships....now loosing the mods sucked, but hay they can be replaced. I'll get them evil French next time...lol -

Boarding Script
Sir Texas Sir replied to Landsman's question in Feature proposals and Gameplay Help Q&A
Well it's not out fault you have all them kangroo's and drop bears stealing your internet....lol Yah I feel for you guys or any of the other SEA players. Oh dear and lets not even talk about the Chinese players pings....I"m use to an 85 ping on most EU located servers so not sure why I get so high for me (140ish ping) on this game other than it's in Germany, most other games i play are located in UK or France server wise. -
Boarding Script
Sir Texas Sir replied to Landsman's question in Feature proposals and Gameplay Help Q&A
I do admit the ping/lag some times sucks when you need it the most. I get about 140 ping lately but it's been between 120-160 most the time. I do notice a slight delay more in boarding than I did on global where I had around 40-60 ping. Last night i was in a boarding that I was all ready prob going to loose Reno vs a Trinc but I said screw it I couldn't get away from him (which sucks cause I'm a whole knot faster than him and just couldn't pull from him cause new speed balance). Well straight off the bat he had no prep when I pulled him, about 100 more crew but I was like screw it I'll do this. I get a great first action and bust his crew down some and mainly his moral. I go to do my second and at the last moment he was able to change the action....I feel since it was under the clock time to do so it was a slight delay in the game from his action to my actions that caused me to miss the change and counter wrong (I push the button at the last second when his action changed too). Than from there it all went down hill as I lost the moral and prep.......but hay you win some and you loose some,. Now I have a Teak Teak Sturdy Reno to replace the one I lost, just the Elite French Mod lost sucks...... The point is and I have said this over and over I don't care what you say PING does matter, wither it's aiming at water lines or mast or boarding. It can mean a miss or hit at times. Yes it doesn't make as big a thing as a twitch shooter where one shot could mean your dead, but it can make a difference of turning a battle into ones favor. Have ya'll even thought about looking at moving to a server either West Coast EU or East Coast US to give the majority of the players the best over all ping? -

It's kinda like Facebook and other social media. You can like your own post, but all it does is make you look sad and pathetic, specially when no one else likes it....I gave it 2 stars just so...lol What is this OSHA you speak of, some sort of Mediterranean Pirates? -
Maybe option to randomly get some of the cannons too like with AI? I like the chance to get them or mods instead of having to capture the ship. Gives more reason to take the price whole and than see if it's worth keeping.

Boarding advisory 2/2/2018
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in News Announcements & Important discussions
If your getting boarded without firing a shot sounds like that person is doing something wrong. We don't spawn in right on top of each other so there is still slight delay of engagements which gives you the time to fight back and try to avoid it. Normally when you see the instant rage board it's cause some one was being a noob and got stuck in iron from the very start of the battle. Though I do think they need to bring back leaks form Ramming as these ships were not made to ram and it could do a lot of damage to the ship. -
Patch 15: Tutorial testing and many other things
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
Give it 5 and make it craftable with chance for the perks. I love the LGV as a trade hunter in the past, but it's kinda hard to play that role and live when your out class by any combat war ships easly. I mean the thing can't even out run most war ships. Than give the current refit stats to the normal LGV to give it a reason to be played by others. The Refit one gets the nice paint and 5 slot options. Speaking of which do trade ships get the option of the random perk? I haven't even checke this cause i had so many trade ships to redeem from the merge. -
The LGV Refit -Tried it out and...
Sir Texas Sir replied to Kejsaren's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
I like they gave it the board prep, which the Pirate Frigate should get along with the Marole boost, but it really needs to be a 3/5 ship. That and let us craft it and maybe get the extra perks too. I would pay 150 PvP marks for a 3/5 BP of the ship that I can craft when ever I want. To equal this out just make the LGV like the Refit now as an alternative for folks to use in OW. Than have the Refit be the special paint and extra slots for the PvP rewards. Cause really the LGV by it self hardly gets used any more as it's the middle ground trade ship. Even though i still love it for it's trade ship hunter, but I'm not going to invest in a ship that is only 3/3 slots when better options are out there. -
Boarding advisory 2/2/2018
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in News Announcements & Important discussions
Yes marines take from you sailing crew. A normal ship with say 200 crew are split in duties for what they can do: Sail, Gunner, Repair, Boarding actions. Well Marines are specialized so they only board. If you have 20% marines than you have 40 Marines on board your ship and that is all they do is Board combat. Which means you now only have 160 crew to man your sails and guns. Also need to remember when you loose crew this percentage stays off crew total. You get racked and loose 100 crew now you only have 100 crew on you ship. 20% of those crew are still marines so you effectively now have only 80 crew to main your sails and guns. This is why if you want to effectively hurt a board fit ship you hit the crew and take them down fast before they can board you. Get them to burn there rum and than rake them again so they can't get crew back and now they can't man guns or sails effectively and they end up being not very effective in combat. -

Isn't this exactly what we are getting. You can pick how many marines by stacking the slots. If you want more marines it will cost you two slots. You can get up to 30% more mairnes. Folks remember they added some more marine options too. 1-3 rates now have the option of 10% or 20%. Which stacks to 30%. -
Distribution of new resources
Sir Texas Sir replied to Despe's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
That is a faction problem not a game, any faction/nation can go out and get what they want. They just need to get organized, recruit players and do it. I'm sorry I'm sick of todays attitude that every one should have the cake that some one else work really hard to bake. If you want the nice things you need to go out and get them yourself. If you want the top elite gear you need to go do the top elite content in games. That are pay some one out the arse that did it for the same gear. Every one has a means to get things in game, you can steal it, win it or make it. It's your choice how you plan to get it. Just about every thing is dropped through RNG PvE loot too, so it's not like your keep completely away from such things. Now with that with what 11 nations now it would of been nice if they had more than 2 ports. I would think 3-4 would of been better number and maybe a second port with something like Cart Tar, but as folks mention the reason they do this is to give some one to fight over things. Back when we had alliances folks didn't fight cause they could just use each other ports and there was no reason to captured them from other nations. Now there is a reason to fight. You want Copper than go capture a port. France has one by Spanish ports. The British has one in the shallows. Pick one or the other and go for it. Now my issue is that the owner of a port with rare goods still has to do the bid fight over the contracts. Owners of rare good ports should get a small number of the mats sent to clan warehouse each day for owning the port. This will encourage more players to fight over rare good ports if they get some without having to have a bid war with half the server. -
Tagging AI ships to force combat
Sir Texas Sir replied to Arngill's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Sounds more like lack of situational awareness. Just cause your in a safe zone doesn't mean your safe. If he was close enough to tag the AI and pull you than he was close enough to tag you. Specially since you didn't even try to run and just left the game. Why would he have more chance to catch you in a battle when he couldn't catch you in OW. Would be nice to have a screen shot to prove he tagged an AI to pull you into battle. -
Distribution of new resources
Sir Texas Sir replied to Despe's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Remember there are other means to get these items. They are still part of random loot drop. AI some times carries the mates. Some noob could leave it in there hull. It's not all lost. Now my only issue is even if you own the port it's a pain to get the resources with every one and there mother bidding and out bidding every one. Great thing is the owner gets all those tax off those bids/contracts though even if they aren't filled. I still think rare resource should be limited on contracts of say 10 each (I seen folks put up 100-500 on the copper ports). I also think the owner of a region should get in there clan warehouse a private stock of the resources so they can choice to sale it or keep it for there own clan/nation. This would give people even more reason to fight over a port and it's resources. With some resent info about some broken trade/delivery misisons we all know there are a good number of players that have millions upon millions out there and they have no problem running a trade war which others can't compete with, this is what I think is more an issue. -
Penetration mods help Carros?
Sir Texas Sir replied to Farrago's question in Feature proposals and Gameplay Help Q&A
Yes they do so if you actually do pen build with accuracy you can get more distance out of them. -
I like the perks for crafted ships as an added bonus over note ships and AI ships. Though not sure I like the extra slots though. Maybe once some testing see if that is over kill. I would just keep it to the random perks for player crafted ships and keep all ships 3/5. Though still think the refited LGV should be a 3/5 ship too. Maybe give the BP as a more expensive PvP reward and if you craft it you get a 3/5 one instead?

Patch 15: Tutorial testing and many other things
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
Thanks but yah this should be listed on the perk so folks know what it does. Well I been meaning to make a Santi to open slots on for Texas. So my lil crafter built me one this morning and got the Heavy Rig perk (10% to mast thickness). I don't mind these new perks to be honest. It makes the ships a bit random as you might have 5 ships built by the same ship yard one after another and one ship might just be slightly faster, or another be a bit more stiffer cause of the workers and quality of the work done on each ship since it normally isn't always the same work crew or even equipment/shipyard used. -
Patch 15: Tutorial testing and many other things
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
It really should be called a full charge to be honest or put in the description what it does. yep pretty much what I was going to say. Normally they wouldn't use a full charge if they where up close and it was a smaller ship to reserve on the powder. Honestly Charged Shot should be called Full Charge to be more correct. Might be something to think about. Since it's not truely a double charge or something or list that in the description of what it does. Speaking of which maybe we should list what they actually do in the perks description. This is the only info I ever found what each perk does. Double shot Increase damage by 25%/Reduced penetration by 15% Double charge with ball Increase penetration by 20%/ Reduced damage by 15% Increased speed of shot by 10% (more distance and better ballistics) Do they even still do these stats or have that been changed since this post? -
Patch 15: Tutorial testing and many other things
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in Patch notes
Pretty sure it says Hard Core Nation on the start screen, it's a chance you take playing Russia, Prussia and Poland that you could be wipe off the map. That was your choice to play in one of those three nations. You did pick a hard core nation to play, you want the safety of a capital and safe zones than go play one of the nations with those. This is what happens when you get folks that pick a nation for it's flag. Doesn't matter if it's a black one or a white one, you have to deal with the facts that some nations every one is going to hate and others are hard core mode. I love the Prussian flag and I'm part German so it would be a nation I would love to play, but it just doesn't have what I want in this game. Same goes for US or GB as to why I won't play them. That is why I picked Russia knowing I could loose all ports and have to live out of free towns. IT's a risk I'm willing to take to play with like minded folks. And for those bitching about the ports battle stuff....didn't take long for that to be hotfixed now did it?
