I don't even need incentives or grind walls between me and the fat boys. Frigates is really all I want to play. The big ones are boring and expensive. All they're good for is winning the war and grinding money. I hope the last point will change, bigger=better is silly for profitability in my opinion.

This is a good point. There is a bit of an immersion challenge when we have the break between OW and instances. 1 minute timers is the only thing that can try to amend that break. Any timers of more than one minute makes the OW less immersive. Even a 2 min timer means that OW players get a time/distance defying teleport ability into instances and thus fights they wouldn't have reached if the OW was one gigantic instance. -

#1 minute timers... ... will fix everything. We need no other rules. If you're within visual range of a battle commencing you'll be able to join unless you're way off leeward. It's very understandable that players get frustrated when the enemy has a 10 minute ganking window while their close by allies can't. 1mintimers fixes this. Frustrated when "allies" messes up your mission? Wait until noone is close by, click in, enjoy your bots in peace. 1mintimers fixes this. Frustrated when you start a fight and 2 minutes later a bunch of trincos come crashing in and ruins everybody's day? 1mintimers fixes this. Think it's unrealistic that you can't asses the threats when sailing on the OW? 1mintimers. Want to be able to truly pick your fights? 1mintimers. -

I would like to adjust FOV with the bracket keys in normal view. Right now I have to hit the "Home" button, adjust FOV and "Home" to go back to normal view, like so: -

Where is the skill in trading and crafting vs PVP ?

He just showed you that he would not be one of the "skilled eco-PVP" players he alludes to. He should know that you need an economy the size of EVE with a central market with volume to make that happen. NA probably never will have. One thing is the central market, another thing is the split servers we're on due to deliberate game design and technology limitations. I'm glad NA is designed with fighting placed front and center. -

True maturin. But shoklar's thing could be a more intuitive presentation of a ship's performance as an alternative to the oldschool X/Y graphs. It reminds me of the flight manual performance envelopes made for almost all military and civilian aircraft, I think it's cool. Also, later on we might be able to make an overlay presentation of these, where you can look at several profiles superimposed over eachother. Then you will be able to quickly see the cerb thing from your post above.

Ship's Heeling Reflected in Bow / Stern Gunnery

As far as our perspective playing the game is concerned, this is all aimbar tied to heel would do: (Please forgive the potato paintskills.) On the left is what we have now, the aiming system is locked in plane with the horizon and we just point the bar to our target and select our elevation. On the right is what it would be with aiming system locked in plane with the ship's deck. All we would have to do is to point a tiny red bar tilted slightly in the exact same spot we would do now. Unless you want to have a special non-stabilized gunnery system for the chasers? Gunners wouldn't correct for tilt with jacking up the carriage, would or did they? You just correct for tilt with a few degrees to the side and a tiny bit more elevation? Am I missing something here? -

This is interesting from a realism point of view. If we tied the aiming bar to the hull's angle of heel we would only have to aim a slightly angled bar in the same spot we aim a level bar today... Why bother? You'll find it is easy to escape attackers in the OW and instances. Until you meet a speed fitted trinco... -
Yep, and I'm so sorry. Cerb was not prioritized in the mad pre-wipe rush. And now I'm struggling to keep abreast of xp grind and the utterly horrible, horrible fight for resources the eco dudes loves so much. Not gonna promise anything yet, I'm not out of the hole yet. But cerb and Niagara are eating at my conscience. All I want is to fight other players and, seriously, maintain up to date speed profiles. But since the only way to get the good stuff is through crafting yourself and the only viable way of collecting xp is bullying bots I've taken on both these grinds simultaneously. Far too much for a fun loving guy like me. It will get better, just bear with me as I suffer my way through the eco dudes' hell of time (and gold) consuming boredom they call heaven. I will allow you to pull the cat out of the bag on me, maturin, it would only be just...
