  1. Odd... but thank you for sharing the information. I was being dragged through mud for being a troll when I was talking about PBs requiring scores Thought it would be just placeholder.
  2. Yes. But maybe captains have to prove themselves, with Admiralty Points, to be eligible to serve under a Lord Nelson fleet ? Maybe ratio of hostility can be used for port battle balance of force ? e.g. not always a 25v25 but relative to TRUE activity in the region ?
  3. Ideas: - Personal Hostility points used as entry to PBs - Half an hour ( or similar ) cooldown entry to PBs after login.
  4. I know because was coming into port when suddenly... pooof.... two entire fleets materialized out of thin air in that tiny bay. WTF moment
  5. Everyone forgets the exact same thing was done in St. Nicholas by the Royal Navy during the United Nations offensive against the black scourge. So... glass roofs. It is an issue that must be contained.
  6. I guess the NPC available quantity is not comparable to the amounts that players can sell ? One player can empty the NPC port entire production leaving the market open for the players trade.
  7. They do already. What matters now is which "alliance" controls it.
  8. I used to do that in DayZ SA. Leaving notes everywhere It is nice when someone finds them and would be a "cool beans" little thing.
  9. Well, that is true. Still hoping for a redress of the Constitution and all the original Trials models up to Santa Cecilia standards. Note: watchout for FPS optimization.
  10. No player-offline AI hauls. I wouldn't mind the AI haulers IF the AI fleet bears the name of the player contractor. There is immense pleasure in fighting versus players in whatever form and denying resources is part of the game.
  11. Hope my little privateering venue in Little River pays off. So far no dice but a few traders coming straight from there have been spotted. Sweet Sweet Resource wars.
  12. Ah yes, I agree. Metals could possibly be melted back to ingots.
  13. Guess so. Still can't read how that correlates to positive/negatives to woods, trims and module/perks.
  14. All ships were literally powder kegs given the amount of tar and other substances used. The natural oil would be the last of concerns with the amount of pitch, fibers and oakum thrown into the seams. But Pagan has a point. There are no negatives in any of the trims and woods, so it is a race instead of a choice.
  15. Totally. Joining should be done in area equivalent to second circle.
  16. You start with the vast empire, dozen of regions, and you look only to ONE port ? I cannot understand that. Other nations do not have choices. They start with 1 region. End of.
  17. Greetings, To erase some complex discussions it would be better to change the wording from weight terms to volumes. Ship holds would be measure in volume and cargo types, despite the weight, would occupy volume space in the cargo hold.

  18. Suddenly Crafter playstyle became more dependent of Trader playstyle. And war captains and privateers suddenly became depedent on the Crafter playstyle. Armateurs playstyle can now be a real deal. Giving out ships to trade raiders in exchange of share of goods captured. Trade war. Cool beans huh !? Doing everything alone is. truly, way more demanding and that is a good thing as I see it. Everything is more complex, bigger scale, but in essence in remains the same.
  19. They are in game already. 0 crew and yards still turn, sheets still get raised and lowered... scary
  20. Shame I didn't. Had the bug only once with the "thin man" at midships reaching out to the sea with those long arms ( same animation as the crew ) and reaching out to the sea and plucking stuff from the water into the ship. Was hillarious. At the same time the other squadron members were seeing the same bug in gigantic proportions and very kraken like.
  21. What IF the hostility level had to be sustained, escalation hostility leading to major confrontation, always above 50% during the 48 hours leading to the PB ?
  22. Let the trade wars begin. Set forth the corsairs, now they can really affect the flow. More playstyles working towards the common good of the nation
