[PvP1] Spain Defence against USA agression
Don Sancho Navarro replied to Celtiberofrog's topic in National news
I do, Sir. Perfectly. You should look at some of our replies, Captain Saintjacktar, for example. He has shown that, despite the wretched actions of their factions, there are honourable, courteous and INTELLIGENT Captains among them. Yours. Don Sancho Navarro, Capitán de Navío. -
[PvP1] Spain Defence against USA agression
Don Sancho Navarro replied to Celtiberofrog's topic in National news
Dear Captain Saintjacktar: That´s the spirit . Thank you, It will be an honour to fire my broadsides on your sinking cutter. I beg your forgiveness if you consider I have insulted your heritage. Nothing further from my true intentions. If you wish, I´m ready to satisfy this unintended offence with the weapon of your choice, rapier or pistol. Please, send me your seconds to Havana. You are proud of your convicted ancestry. One should always honour family. I fail to understand then, why you don´t have more respect for our fellows the pirates (there may even be some family among them, an escaped convict, perhaps, fighting for survival), and you don´t despise the cruel British that exiled your family to your beautiful island-continent. Forgive me for pointing out this lack of coherence. If I were in your situation, I would be fighting alongside the Pirates and Spanish against those stiff, cruel and genocidal British. Sincerely yours. Don Sancho Navarro, Capitán de Navío PS. I wish my faction had enough money to bankroll anything. As in real life, we are just getting by. All these rumours about Spanish Galleons cruising around full of gold, silver and ambergris, is just more British propaganda. do not believe a word of it -

Dear Captain Saintjacktar. No, "Don" does not offend us, in Spain it is a sign of respect. If you want to offend us you should use other racial slurs. Here is a list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ethnic_slurs You should read it, it´s funny that most of the terms were coined by white anglo-saxons in England, US, Australia and New Zealand to refer to everyone else in a disdainful manner. It is probably a cultural trait, the same trait you show here trying to depict your moral superiority and self righteousness. It works with Hollywood, but it does not work here, in a forum populated by well educated, intelligent persons. Keep your propaganda to yourself, and do not try to insult us, or you will see how rich and colourful is the Spanish language. Sincerely yours. Don Sancho Navarro, Capitán de Navío. -
[PvP1] Spain Defence against USA agression
Don Sancho Navarro replied to Celtiberofrog's topic in National news
Yes, you offer us conquering from Spain most of what you consider your "vital space" your rightful territory (Hitler called it "lebensraum", for your information, and it did not end well for him) and expect us to bow and submit to your expansionist war of aggression. Your generosity was well noted: "We let you live with a few ports, and clean our boots from time to time, and you should be grateful". Surely, you dont´know the Spanish. You should never push the Spanish into a corner. And it seems you still have not learned from your past mistakes. I´m all for peace. I did not like what happened to the US and stated it publicly, but you got what you were asking for. A good spanking in your rears. Now, stop being childish and stop your delusions of grandeur. Be practical and stay on the east coast. Sincerely yours. Don Sancho Navarro, Capitán de Navío. -
[PvP1] Spain Defence against USA agression
Don Sancho Navarro replied to Celtiberofrog's topic in National news
Dear Mr. Reb. I don´t know what happened when I was not even playing this game. I´m talking about the situation NOW. And the current situation is that the Pirates are behaving more honourably than your wretched, self righteous anglo-saxon nations. Honour is earned. It does not come with a nationality or a flag. It´s each player that has to demonstrate its nature, and honour that flag. And so far, the US and the British have not demonstrated the high standards you so often demand from other nations. You can call us cowards and accuse us of the same dishonourable behaviour you have so often practised. All I can say is, as the Romans put it "Qui gladio ferit, gladio perit". I understand that you and your British masters were not romanised, so I will translate for your convenience: "He who lives by the sword, will die by the sword". Stop giving us morale lessons, we know who we are dealing with, and are well aware that our actions have consequences. You should have considered the consequences before you tried to annihilate and humiliate Spain. It´s reckoning and retribution time. You believe on your moral superiority. Demonstrate it in the game. The more US players I´m able to shoot, the faster I will advance in grade. Yours, sincerely. Don Sancho Navarro, Capitán de Navío. -

Sir. You keep on threatening with our demise. Let´s see if your cannons have the same calibre as your words. I hope we meet in battle. So far all I have seen is empty threats and the backs of US ships fleeing from Spanish ships. Some fun action in front of Havana, thank you for providing entertainment and some worthy targets. Don Sancho Navarro. Captán de Navío -

What a regrettable event!!! Spain laments to be dragged once again into a war, with this treacherous act. USA is over reaching again and trying to expand its borders attacking a peaceful nation, like the genocide you committed with the native indians, like the war crimes you have committed all around the world. But this bone is hard to chew, and your teeth will break again in the face of Spanish resolution to defend what is ours. AND. Lord Vicious has shown to be a good and worthy friend. Mutual trust and respect are the foundations of our friendship. Unlike other allies the USA has, Spain is always there for its allies. Don Sancho Navarro, Capitan de Fragata -
Dear Capitán CeltiberoCaesar. I beg to differ with you, Sir. Indeed, this thread provides magnificent enjoyment to a Spanish Captain, so similar to our own Spanish forum which, unfortunately for the uneducated among us that cannot understand our beautiful and universal language, contains insults and offences rich and frequent, worthy of a thorough read. You are right. Spain is happy but, Why would we want to conquer London? Such foul weather and food. Not to talk about the women there (see attached picture for comparative illustration). I´d take Havana, with a glass of rum in one hand, a cigar in my mouth and two mulatas sitting in my lap, any time over London. Don Sancho Navarro, Capitán de Fragata

Ahem... Who started this trend of behavior? The US/Brit ganging up Spain? Or the Pirates/Spain responding? Why did the British faction not support their US allies? Why would Spain make peace with the Brits, after they showed their true nature? The Spanish nation is not a humanitarian NGO, the Brits and the US tried to reduce us to Havana, what a pretty sight that would have been, but it didn´t happen. You pushed Spain into a corner and now blame us for hitting back. I´m not buying it. Spain will defend itself and its allies to the last ship, don't count on us turning our backs on the factions that have supported us in our worst of times. How could we make peace with the Brits and abandon our French allies? I would not have the stomach for such a treason. We are talking about SPAIN!!! All we have is our honor, so don´t come to me with moral lessons. Brits have antagonized and bullied every nation in the map and now come complaining. Grow some spine and finish what you have started. Stop wining and come with convincing arguments, or try to convince me with your cannons I will be waiting for you in Havana, Sir. You may not like the bitter truth, but your actions have triggered this chain of reactions. I really hope Britain does not end up like the US, and I hope the Admiralty will learn from its past mistakes. If you want to talk about ironies look at yourself in the mirror, all your bravery and bombastic enthusiasm about the unstoppable British fleets, Britain rules the waves and all of that... You threatened to reduce Spain to Havana, and now you are bidding for peace and accusing us of defending ourselves. Have some decency an honor. I have nothing more to say to you, Sir. Treaty between Spain and pirates clans
Don Sancho Navarro replied to BilL.it's topic in National news
It´s a question of human nature. When authority is abused, human beings naturally reject it. When power is abused, human beings naturally join forces to counter the abuse. The political dimension of this game is amazingly accurate. Any historian could have foretold the reaction of other factions to the British treatment of smaller factions, so unbecoming of the Values Britain was build upon, and so consistent with British imperial history. The fact that some factions are cooperating against British dominance is only a logical consequence of British actions, and the British captains should not complain about it, since it could have been predicted by anyone with a pinch of intelligence and common sense. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, this is true in the real world and this is true in the Naval action world. For example, I´m not familiar to the reasons that brought the AUSEZ clan to join the Pirate faction. What I know is that the Pirate faction´s behaviour is what would be expected of a great and dominant faction like Britain. Pirates are being far more civilized than British.. and for most of our Spanish history, a British flag has meant a pirate was at the helm anyway. Britain has wasted an opportunity to become the balancing force in the game, and has chosen instead to abuse their predominant position in numbers and strength to conquer other nations. What other outcome were they expecting from their strategy? Fortunately, every tyrannical empire expands to the limits of its capacity, only to start breaking up as its forces are spread too thin and its citizens long for liberty. This was the fate of every empire, and every tyrant, from the Persians and Romans to the Ottomans or the British. It is a historical constant that is only repeating itself in this pixel world. The "betrayal" of the AUSEZ is only the first libertarian rift in the monolith that was the British faction, the French, Spanish, Pirates and other factions joining forces against the British is only a a reaction to the British clan leadership trying to impose their tyranny by the force of arms upon other weaker nations. History again. I hope someone in the Admiralty takes note of this ans tries to bring your nation to its senses before you end up taking a cyanide pill in a smelly bunker in Jamaica, under the combined fire of the allied forces. And I hope the Pirate leadership shows in time better judgement than the British Admiralty. Capitán de Fragata Don Sancho Navarro This is my personal view, I do not speak for my clan or faction -
As I said, It´s history. US sided with Britain to conquer Spanish ports, Naturally, Spain found a strong ally to counter that. If instead of the Pirates, it had been any other nation, nobody would object. In this game, the Pirate faction is proving more civilized than Britain, that was one of my points. If the Pirates behave like the British, then the other nations will side against the Pirates. Let´s hope the Pirate leadership shows more judgement than the British Admiralty. I profoundly dislike what happened to the US faction. It almost happened to Spain but, instead of splitting and abandoning the faction, Spanish players joined forces, started working together, organized themselves, found allies and fought back. It was a test to our willingness to survive. We overcame the ordeal and emerged stronger from it. The US players failed to do so. It is historical fact also that disunited weak nations that fail to defend themselves disappear in the end. There are many precedents. This my personal opinion, I do not speak for my clan or faction.
