  1. I think that was the weirdest battle Ive ever had
  2. A place to link your saltiest / funniest chat moments in game. I'll start with a few.
  3. Paints for pvp marks? (Even if they are only 1 dura) Buy contracts for ships? Reasonnable BRs? Customizable flags / pennants? Odds-based pvp rewards? Bigger variety of server wide events (e.g. huge npc fleet that is carrying epic loot and needs to be sank to escort the loot back on own ships)?
  4. or na legends
  5. The worst thing about fir fir is, you can just zoom out at 15.5 knots when realizing you goofed up. Had two players in fir fir ships (inger and trinc) going after my 13.5 kt. Teak WO belle poule. Managed to sink the trinc cause he didnt pay attention; the fir inger decided to fk off at 15.5 kts. He was down to structure. Really annoying, but I guess some just prefer it the easy way in ganking lone frigs in their fir fir speed boats (or might end up running anyway )
  6. @PG Monkey I think we will have to rethink some things
  8. Steadily growing but still looking for more company =) Port Rio Seco on the east coast is now captured and serves as a raiding base for any nation.
  9. Disguised perk would be nice Actually nvm. I need all my perks i have atm. Not changed them in months
  10. Rio Seco - The east coast now has a raiding port available for any guests. gf! "2 man clan"
  11. Looking forward to fight ... with you? ..against you? o7
  12. kind of a good fight, a little sad the surps didnt want to play til the end But cant blame them I guess, paper masts aswell as a weak wood build
  13. Since you were adressing our clan, I'll give you my PoV Never looted any super rare skillbook from PvE - Gave up after a few tries. No art of proper cargo distribution, no ship handling, nothing similar. You don't really need it. Well at some point you will have to start from 0, right? I remember my first days in the lesser antilles. I did get sunk a lot, but I kept going, because I knew it could have ended differently and I WANTED to improve. It takes a lot of time to improve in this game. Unlike Clicker Heroes That's right, but thankfully there is also an admiralty store with similar rewards. Gazelle instead of Navy Hull as an example - Difference is not that great, and you can still perfectly work with it Unlocked all my slots on surprise aswell as Belle Poule through PvP only - yes, that does mean my first few battles were fought without any slots, it's not impossible Don't think 1st rates have been used in OW PvP for a while now. And why take a wasa now when bellona costs the same? Bellona is also craftable - 30 pvp marks sell for about 6 mil total, you should be fine when trying to get one crafted for similar price, right? New players usually are not that interested in RvR - It takes time, join a bigger clan, get helped out etc - Or should everyone be given a Victory when they start playing? Current goals / requirements for an 1st rate or similar are achievable Never used Cartagena refit on any ship, but I agree, it has to go - Way too much thickness on 4th rates and above already. You see - In the safe zone, you can't get ganked - So basically, players have to rely on others attacking them, feeling confident in numbers etc. Sometimes they do win outnumbering, sometimes they don't - But most importantly, they gain combat experience, which over time will turn them into better captains, right? Also, where are you getting the "grinding for 1-2 years" from? Levelling up to Flag captain might take about 1-2 weeks. After that, when working together with some friends / in a clan, ship crafting gets sped up alot. You don't need that much to craft a competetive 5th rate, and there is still the admiralty shop where you can get decent upgrades, which are just fine for learning.
  14. Not sure why you're now pointing at me directly but sure Yeah totally. Not like Ive been taking 1v2 1v3 2v3 2v4 and even a 1v4 (which I obviously lost - after sinking one) all the time. Lose some, win some. Ships are cheap, so why would I bother about sinking in a decent fight
  15. Go out pvping in disposable ships ffs... you also dont spend all your salary on partying/drinks/whatever and then wonder why you dont have any money left to pay the bills Or maybe you do
  16. Happy new year everyone o7
  17. Rule no 1: dont sail what you cant afford to lose
  18. That argument is just plain wrong. Look at what it takes to craft a Teak Trincomalee. And a 5th rate fleet mission solo in indefatig (about 30 minutes) gets you like 150k ? Get a grip.
  19. that one was actually legit, brawl between spanish and pirates (he was in a wasa )
