There was the gros Ventre and the Ingermanland which were released a few days ago

Why are people so harsh? Game is developing nicely. If he had waited a DAY or so, he would have found Essex, Niagara, Grosse Vente and Ingermaland, and who knows what next....

where is your one ships by month ????  like you say in steam and in the forum ? and where is your 2-3 ships for the last patch.

It's not good to lie.

There are already too many ships in the game not being used, new ships won´t change anything...changes need to be done elsewhere....

Rattlesnake should have a snake figurehead. "Join or Die", "Dont tread on me" kind of figurehead.

The figure on the wooden model is just an artist's creative view on the subject.

And yes. its a proper - right - "rattlesnake" ship.

testing cannon size suitability on the model.

I was so ready for you, maybe this summer I guess :(

Here, mate. You might've missed this: :)

Oh Ive seen it over and over. I'm just sad over that the rumors were false about it being in this patch. I really love it though.

Well, I would've liked to have seen more ships, too, but judging by the amount of stuff in this update, it looks like the devs had plenty to do.

Very nice model, but why did they chose the WvH III? A totally insignificant convoy escort ship....

I think it will be a sister ship for Ingerm as 4th rate, there is another 2nd rate under construction and I think this russain one as well based on my research. I could be wrong.

oooh a new 76 is always welcome in my eyes, be nice to see some smaller 3rd rates though, 64/6 guns or so, I am looking forwards to trying it out and seeing how it performs compared to the Bellona and 3rd. :)

there are no other 3rd rates in the queue. At least none I know of.

the 2nd rate Wind refers to is the Buccentaure which has been teased for ages by now.

another 4th rate is good. more weight against our consti which should explode in production costs.

I don't think this is going to be a third-rate: 6,12, and 18 pounders and a 426-pound broadside (admittedly, all tentative numbers) suggests that this is going to be the junior two-decker below the Ingermanland. A bit of reading identifies Wapen von Hamburg III as a dedicated convoy ship, not a ship of the line relegated to convoy duties, and originally rated as a 52-gun ship.

While I'd like to see a small 3rd-rate to sit between Ingermanland and Bellona, that might be the Agamemnon rather than Wapen von Hamburg III. That said, I certainly don't think a small fourth-rate that eases players into ship of the line combat and serves as a 'tank' alternative to a big frigate is any sort of bad thing - not every two-decker has to be a ship of the line.

...is this a bad time to mention the 1708 HMS Pearl?

Once we have a true big 74 the Bellona can take her rightful place again.

For testing she now has 24pd in her 2nd battery which is ahistorical. (historical loadout: 32/18/9pd)

Temeraire had some big 74s which in RL carried 24s and the Montanes did so as well. (32/24/9pd)

They should be modeled (hopefully) asap. (this is a wish of myself)

Once that happened Bellona can be rates as a medium 3rd again. The 3rd rate named ship remains the small one with only 24/18/9lb guns available to her.

Wapen will be a 4th rate. I dont see her anywhere else.

Only two out of the 120 Temeraires had the 24-pounders in the secondary deck - cool, but not representative. On the plus side, the main battery and the obusiers and their replacement carronades on the typical Temeraire were 36-livre, which is closer to 42 than 32 pounds.

Hopefully the work in progress thread will some day alert us to a 700-man Temeraire with 78 broadside guns (Obusiers and carronades weren't included in the 74-gun rating) in 42, 18, and 9 pounds or 42 pounder carronades. I look forward to a choice of 3rd-rates between Bellona's manoeuvrability and toughness and Temeraire's speed and firepower, rather than Bellona and Diet Bellona.

well yeah I know that only a few had 24s.

But then Consti only once sailed off with 42lb carros.

Gamewise that means Temeraire class could be able to carry the 24s on the mid decks.

Why I speak of temeraire so ofthen is because of the sheer volume of ships of her class.

She is the 74 of the 18-19th century.  No doubt about.
