neoblackheart Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 The Borée was a 3 masted ship of the line that was built around with the idea of Shallow water combat. It was a 74 gun ship. I was wondering if we would see this in game Its wiki is actually listed here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_ship_Bor%C3%A9e_%281805%29 Or the Pluton Both were meant for shallow water.
maturin Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Meant for shallow water? Did you link to the right ship? Boree of 1805 was a Temeraire-class that drew more water than Bellona.
neoblackheart Posted February 4, 2016 Author Posted February 4, 2016 Designed based on plans by Jacques-Noël Sané, and updated by Maillot, she and her sister (Pluton) were the prototypes of a new variant of the Téméraire class designed to have a smaller draught, allowing the production of ships of the line in the shallow harbour of Antwerp Pluton was a Téméraire class 74-gun French ship of the line built at Toulon. She was one of two prototypes for a derivative sub-class of the original design; this sub-class (somewhat smaller than the primary design) was specially intended for construction in some of the shipyards in states occupied by the French, where there was less depth of water than in the main French shipyards.
