There have been a couple of occasions already where I wish I had been able to borrow funds in order to take better advantage of a trade deal, or to be able to buy the last goods necessary to finish crafting a ship.  Would be nice to have a bank in one's home port.

I think that any kind of banking should be provided by players clans/giulds.

For example, my crew are already capable to give small credits for new players, so they can buy a ship (we also sell ships)

I like the idea of developing clan management features.  Not sure how you easily transfer funds at the moment though.

Its not easy at the moment, and it probably shoulnd not be. Yet once officers are all in same port, we make big deals.
