marecek05 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Very, very good Sir! If I possesed the photoshop skills I would answer in style, with a pamphlet. Off to watch photoshop youtube tutorials then... 1
ObiQuiet Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I really like this kind of role playing. Well done indeed! 1
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Thanks for your time on this. Great reads. Gives way more life to the whole thing. 1
Prater Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 Current issue is up. War profiteering killing US economy and shipbuilding. French-American ceasefire breaks down. French lose possession of Louisiana. US and Spanish forces continue to skirmish off the keys. US captures two ports on Cuba. Several naval officers are relieved of their commands and demoted to midshipmen and reassigned to cutters. Washington essentially shuts down due to flooding. Pirates raid the US coast. SLMFr officer caught attempting to hire pirates to attack the US. US is expanding into New Spain. Dutch achieve an impossible victory against a combined and multi-pronged assault. Dutch overwhelmed by staggering enemy numbers and lose territory. (out of roleplay: I don't know if the Dutch accounts are true as I haven't talked to anyone who was present. But this is what I have heard from US ambassadors who were in contact with the Dutch. The accounts may be slightly exaggerated). 3
Johannes Zoutman Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Amazing stuff! I participated in yesterdays battles and we held them off at Macanoa. At one o'clock at night, GMT+1, we still held the gap versus the French fleet. I have no idea if anything happened afterwards. Last thing i saw was that their flag expired.
Francis Tabernac Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Great read; you do a fantastic job of writing in the style! o7
Bloody Hound Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Heheh, Pagan Pete Causing trouble around Charleston, sounds like the loot is ripe to pillage i may have to join him on this and take those juicy US traders.
Baron Quertier Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 My men found a whole stack of these newspapers on a trade ship we were 'inspecting' for the men it was very good for morale. Not many of them read but they know good toilet paper when they see it. Seriously though, I feel this sort of thing really adds a great element to the game. Mr prater sir thank you and do not stop publishing. 3
Grim DeGrim Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 SLMFr officer caught attempting to hire pirates to attack the US. Sounds juicey! 1
Grim DeGrim Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 For the record, that money was spent in the local bawdy houses. Anything said by the men is wholly inadmissible! 2
Francis Tabernac Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 For the record, that money was spent in the local bawdy houses. Anything said by the men is wholly inadmissible! Objection! Hear-say, your honour! 1
Prater Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 My men found a whole stack of these newspapers on a trade ship we were 'inspecting' for the men it was very good for morale. Not many of them read but they know good toilet paper when they see it. Hahaha! +1 from me. P.s. I am open to taking submissions from anyone, however, I may edit them and am the final judge. These two pages are sometimes hard to fill (hence the advertisements in the latest edition).

Lytse Pier Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I'm avaricious by design, but Two dollars per quarter year is a steal for a quality print like this! Do you deliver in Willemstad too?
Grim DeGrim Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Well Well Well...Had a chance to read the SECOND page... Prater, there could be room to chat someday. But leave Decatur at dock if we do Though if memory serves, he's not actually in TDA (despite the name) ...he's in TF. Cheerio
Powderhorn Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I see the French wish to undermine the unified front of the US, perhaps in an effort to make us just as fractious and easily defeated as the other factions?
Pagan Pete Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 I brought a nice portrait wot fer yer newspaper! 3
Charles Caldwell Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 I see the French wish to undermine the unified front of the US, perhaps in an effort to make us just as fractious and easily defeated as the other factions? I heard a rumour that 16 of your TF members went Pirate, was that true?
