How to add guns you have bought

Loving the game by the way and want to bit more firepower. After getting a bit of gold I want to arm my yacht. I bought the cannon but dont see how to add them to the craft. A little help here mates.

Any items you brought will be in the warehouse in the port your currently at, to equip them on your yacht, you have to drag them across to the cannon slot, hope this helps

And you have to have a correct class of cannons for the ship.

Keep in mind, class and pndr is not the same.

 

Class 9 cannon is not a 9 pounder.

 

Also, the slots on your ship will have two class listings, e.g. [8-9]/[7-9]

 

This means you can mount Cannons class 8 to 9 or Carronades class 7 to 9.

 

If I remember correctly the Yatch can use max 6 pounder cannons or 12 pounder carronades (both class 8).

 

Someone correct me if I am wrong... typing this while at work so can't verify with in-game.
