Run Client without Steam

Is there a way to run Naval Action without Steam running?

If not will there be one in the future.

Couple reasons.

I have a friend who would pay but refuses to uses steam or origin or any such platform for reasons.

Id also like to be able to play on PBS that I am on throughout the month without needing to install Steam. This is more a want and not a need.

Unfortunately no

We use a lot of steam services. And it provides a lot of things that we are not willing to provide ourselves.
