Shallow port - Ships

First off, I know the conquest tab tells you some of the details, so i have a simple question in addition to that.

 

Now when Game Labs reworked the Niagara, and placed it in the 6th rate category, plus some other changes to it, can it now take part in a siege of a shallow port city?

Niagara definitely needs to be a shallow ship.

It is. My question is if it can participate in the shallow port battles. It says from Lynx to Mercury, and the Niagara is above the Mercury. Therefore, just a clarification question

Niagara can enter shallow ports. So the answer is yes.

Historically it should be allowed too. It has a very shallow draft and would be a nice change of pace from seeing nothing but merc and snows in shallow port battles
