No PvE server for EU ?

I had to start on PvE US server because there were no PvE EU servers available.

 

Only a Pvp EU and a Mirror 3 PvP EU server.

 

Why is there no PvE EU Server?

 

If/when one is added, do I have to restart all over despite having progress on the US PvE server or will there be an option to transfer the character over when PvE EU is added?

 

I feel almost discouraged from playing at all knowing whatever progress I am getting now on US PvE may have to be completely redone if/when PvE EU is added

This game is not very time critical, having 200-300ms ping is still quite playable, as nothing really unexpected happens in few seconds anyway. This is even more true on PvE server. Over 300ms controls might become too sluggish to really enjoy although aiming is still quite possible, but good thing from EU to US it is less than 200ms. 

 

XP is shared over all servers too and earthly belongings are of vanishing sort anyway, so feel free to get up in the ranks while waiting your favorite server to come online.

So if I am a Månedsløitenant in Denmark-Norway faction (rank 2 basically) then I am rank 2 on every server and faction ?

Server - yes, faction - no. Your character is present on all servers in the same nation.

 

As for PvE EU - there is no need. PvE server sees so little activity as is, that splitting it even further is not only not needed, it would be a bad thing.

I see plenty people on PvE server. It's usually medium activity everytime I log in.

I would hardly call 1080 players 'little activity'...

 

Be thankful you are between 200-300 at most, I do not have the option for EU as it sits around close to 400 ms for me and the latency is too noticeable in-game to enjoy it.

I started out on the PVE server before I migrated to PVP1, and I literally could not feel the difference in latency going from 120 to 30. In combat, on the world map, even during transactions.

 

And I'm pretty sensitive to these things.

If you had already redeemed those ships, they're gone - they were a one-time per account per server redeem.

What do you even do on a PvE server? Is there even port battles?

Ghroznak. I've met players from New Zealand that said their ping was something like 230. For this game graphics card and computer power is more important.

You do everything except gank players and port captures. It's perfect for when the wee ones are still running about and you can walk away from the PC for a few minutes if need be.
