crixalis5263 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I am from Malaysia which is one of the ASIA country, before I purchase this game and I was found that several comments or discussions report for high pings during the game. So I would like to ask is every player able to enjoy the game even it is in high ping?
Vanguard Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Yes, I play from Australia with 320-330 ping and I don't have any issues.
Aksark Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I live in Canada, but elect to play on a EU server. I average around 150-160 ping. And it is totally playable / enjoyable for me.
Sir Texas Sir Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I live in Canada, but elect to play on a EU server. I average around 150-160 ping. And it is totally playable / enjoyable for me. I'm the same way as I live in the US. I get around 130-140 (US is 40-60) but never notice it. Unlike other games, though it's still new and low pop. I'll prob end up later switching to the US server if it ever gets as populated or when the game goes more full live. As for the OP. Really it's going to depend where your router service goes through. I remember World of Tanks when they had there server before they movied it I got better ping playing the US server than the SEA server when I was in Singapore for work and the serve was in that area. They moved it and it got way better service. I use to play POTBS on the Aussie server cause at that time I worked nights and my hours and later travels all ways works better with over seas times. Hopefully some one in your area can post up there experience.
Aussie Pastor Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Ping is not an issue and lag spikes are extremely few. Te only time you do see a slight spike is at a "Port Battle" event. Us Aussie are having an absolute ball in a his game even the Over 50.....
Lord Roberts Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Australian forced to play on PVP 2, no way am i going on PVP 1 where it's EU, I don't want 450 ping thanks
Aussie Pastor Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Australian forced to play on PVP 2, no way am i going on PVP 1 where it's EU, I don't want 450 ping thanks A lot of Boxing Kangaroos and Fighting Kiwis are on PVP 1 the great contest server. In this game, the ping is not a problem, it's knowing how to manual sail, positioning you're self correctly for maximum result. Sinking them, staying afloat. 1
Wang Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Australian forced to play on PVP 2, no way am i going on PVP 1 where it's EU, I don't want 450 ping thanks Give pvp1 a shot, i promise your idea of being 'forced' to play on pvp 2 is a misconception.
