Does anyone know the breakdown of what info is stored on the Server, and what is stored on the Players HDD/SSD?

The reason that I ask is that I play on two different Computers, one in the AM and the other in the PM because I am in two different locations at those times. My problem is that when I visit various Ports with my PM Computer, when I log on the next day with my AM computer it shows those visited Ports as 'not Visited'? Yet when I log in again on my PM computer the Ports show up as visited!

It's as if the 'Ports visited' information resides on my PC and not on the Server. Am I correct in this, or is there another explanation?

The list of visited ports, and what they produce/consume, is indeed stored locally.  There is nothing exploitable in those files (e.g. you can't change anything and cause different behavior in the game itself).  There may be a few other small convenience items, but there isn't a whole lot stored locally.  Funny story - after nearly a year of testing Open World, when I logged in after the full EA wipe, all of my visited ports information was still present on the map.   ;)

Almost everything else, gold, assets, progress, ships, etc. are all stored server side.

well u visited the ports and the u didnt delete the game , just patched i think. so i would've guessed that port info would stay , in my case that was a wrong guess . so aftzer the wipe i was like dang , map erased . i guess it wsant that way for all of us  :)
