Change Character Name

I think alot of people when playing the game and ranking have regrets about the name they gave their player. It would be great if i could change it and delete the old name. Perhaps you could charge like 10k gold so people don't do it too often.

There are currently no easy ways for the developers to do this.  Down the road, they may develop a tool to do it easily, but for now, work on the core mechanics continues.

Shouldn't it be as easy as changing the text for the name in the database?

Depending on how the DBs in question are set up, it could be much more difficult than that Zaithe.  More than likely there are multiple back end DBs that work in concert to run the show.

In my opinion this is a Feature which should be in every game. Maybe dont change username every day. But there should be a possibility to do this in the future.

 

Same with the lenght of the name. In some games you cant use your real name, because he is too "long" That is a very shit design in my opinion. But in this game you can use longer names too, thats great :-)
