Does fleet gold go to you?

Just got a couple of ships for my fleet, does their gold earned in a battle go to me as well?

Wait they do? I was completely convinced that having a fleet ment you wouldn't get the money they receive? It even gives you a small warning when you purchase those extra ships, and when the battle is over it's clear you have received less money/xp than you would have if you had done it alone. 

I'm fairly new to this game with only 24 hours so far, but since you have 3.1k posts i'd be willing to take your word for it if you say we actually do get the money they would have gotten. I just find it weird that there's nothing mentioned about it at the conclusion of the battle.

Yes i Think they earn the money for you. For example i didnt even got 1 shot at the enemy, but my fleet destroyed him and i got the money, but i guess EXP you have to earn yourself....

I was in a battle with someone last night who used a fleet to capture, when he was ranting at me about "stealing" his prize (despite the fact as far as I am aware neither of us entered each others battle, possible bug?) he claimed he did more because he got 2 xp more, he didn't actually do much but his bot did quite a lot so I imagine he got the xp from that, maybe its not a full amount for what you do yourself but you must get a portion.
