Sir Richard Bolitho Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) My yacht/Pickle shows under lwr deck cannons 8-9 so I buy 9pd mediums, wont fit on either? What am I doing wrong? Totally outmatched now in admiralty orders up against ships with twice the fire power. Trying to buy a Mercury and wasted more gold it would appear. Getting a bit frustrated. Edit: Class 7 ships, Class 6 Cannons. May as well throw cream cakes. One broadside takes a third of my armour. Only option 18Pd Cannonades? Why them does it show 8-9? John Paul Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 the [8-9] is the class of cannon, so a 6lb would be the right size The first set of brackets is the cannon class, the second set is the carronade class. Your rank determines your crew size which can be found in the upper right hand corner
Sir Richard Bolitho Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 Only option to be even completive is 18Pd carronades. Thx.
Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Go to the shop, select the cannon tab, and then look just below it - you'll see tabs labelled with Class 4, Class 5, etc. That is the "Class" of the Cannon, not the LB's. As Mr. Paul mentioned, each deck has two brackets of numbers, for example [8-9][7-9]. The first bracket is for cannon, the second is for carronades. So a ship with the numbers I just listed could equip any cannon that has a class of 8 or 9, and any carronade that has a class of 7, 8, or 9. It's a touch funky, but better than it used to be, when you just randomly slapped cannon on until they stuck.
