raskolnikoff Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I asked our rendering engineer to check this topic
Saxon Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I thought it was only me! I had that after entering battles. it stopped doing it after I entered a port though
Ink Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Here is the quote from Steam forums, may be it will be useful to someone: I had a really nasty graphics issue. The sea would randomly (triggered by a loading screen ie. going from open world to instance) start stretching/ flickering....it was horrible. Tried all kinds of changes to graphics settings, however the only thing that worked waas to go into the client and set it to run in compatability mode for windows 7
Rheinhardt Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 So glad I am not the only one having this issue. I was losing my mind a bit trying to play making sure all drivers were up to date. Sent in a few bug reports hopefully will get fixed. Really want to jump on in.
Ink Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Thanks for the reports, captain! They are addressed
Rheinhardt Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 So I hate to bug but what was the issue? I keep looking over the game anxious to play but until I can battle no point.
Instakay Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Hi guys, I have exactly the same graphic issue in open see and battle. My setting : GeForce GTX 960 with driver up to date Win7 DualCore I3 3.7 ghz 8G RAM I realy want to play but its impossible with this glitch for the moment... Could you please keep me posted ? Thank you
Phex Ezriel Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) For people having this issue it might be down to multiple GPU's. you will get artifacts and flickering (on the sea for example) and you have SLI/crossfire on/forced. Disabling this might solve you problems. This only apply's to people who have more than one GPU. Edited February 3, 2016 by Phex Ezriel
Instakay Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Thanks Phex but it's not my case (only use one GPU) But for all people having the same issue than me, take a look at the Ink quote above and start the game in the comptability mode. That will fix your issue
