Skipper Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 At what point is it viable in terms of gold and xp flow to upgrade from Basic Cutter to a larger ship? I dont want to upgrade only to find out that repairs are prohibitively expensive and end up losing gold from doing missions. Currently I'm Second Liutenant (120 crew)
Captain146 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) Get a snow if you can find one imo, they are very nice for doing missions and catching trade ships. you will be a little undercrewed but it's ok. oh and they do nice in small battles i have only been sunk once out of 8 so far. Fluffy Fishy Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Snows are 100% crewed at second lieutenant and its that rank you will want to switch Edited January 25, 2016 by Fluffy Fishy
Carvine1 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Got my snow and now traders are showering me with gifts 1
AtomicTiger Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 yeah Snow is the best IMO too, 2 Chasers to make the enemie stay in battle, 2 sternguns to rig followers, and 11 guns each side. i like to use Longs to stay out of trouble because the snow is a bit high and easy to hit. if u dont like to buy one go with some friends into the missions and capture the snows, they only got 1 durability but its free and mostly they are blue also to lower the cost of repair use ports to repair if u are in range of one, they are much cheaper then the Kits on sea
