Should More Data Be Shared Between Servers?

82 members have voted

  1. 1. Should we have more shared between servers now they are much busier?

    • Share gold and craft experience for all servers
    • Share gold and craft experience for the same type of server (PVE or PVP)
    • Share gold only between the same type of server
    • Share Craft experience between the same type of server
    • No, keep it as it is.

I'm not sure about you but with the current server traffic I find it frustrating that you cannot always access the ships and resources you wish to play with, it would be nice if more data was shared between servers, I'm not quite sure about the dev plans on this but it would be nice to discuss it with more people. Especially those who spend a lot of time on PVP who are finding it a bit difficult to play on their desired server at some points in time. Please discuss :)

Cant share gold due to very high exploit potential.

What if there was some form of cross server tax? Making it less open to exploits.

Not really no... unless the tax is literally all the gold you have.

I'm probably being a bit naive here but surely markets would normalise over the different servers and exploits would be a bit more difficult, over PVE at least, I suppose PVP is a lot more open to these exploits?

The thing is, if you are doing badly(or extremely well on one server) and badly on the other(or extremely well) you can use the fact that you are doing well on one server, to just rush enemy ports on another server.

Cant share the share across 2 servers because port conquest statuses will be different. Admin already stated this was the core problem.

My best advise, relax and give them a couple days to find a solution. Games only been on EA forb1 weekend. Games Lab is usually quick with their solutions. LEAST the 2000 people online are enjoying a stable server, rare attribute for an EA game

I just started not logging off the server, tired of waiting everytime Im want play  . They have to come up with some solution for this

I'm not a paying member since january 2015 for this....

And this is not the actual waiting time either, I'm waiting for an hour.

People are getting round the huge Queue by just staying logged in forever, its a bit immoral and ruins that for people who want to play without going afk.

devs allready said, going to start working on an afk timer on monday(today) to stop that.

That is somewhat good news, depends on how long the timer will be and what triggers it. I can sail for at least 30 min in one direction without touching my keyboard to get somewhere as you all know.

And I can be idle for a good 10 minutes in a harbor when I have to go to the toilet or shower.

Also I'm dissapointed that the waiting queue is so long sometimes, I know they will fix it. Just pointing it out.

An AFK timer is a good idea but I suggest that when your ship times out in mid-ocean it disappears instantly (unless you have been tagged) - possibly this happens already

- I sometimes go AFK for 20 mins or so when away from land. I have no problem at all with timing out during that journey but feel my ship shouldn't be vulnerable while it does

Otherwise either:

1. Long journeys will become less popular

2. People are going to find ways beat the AFK timeout artificially

No. Implement onetime, one way migration from full servers.

Don't let people jump back and forth. It'll be chaos.

That sounds like quite a good solution, perhaps not one time or one way but there should be a long cool off, perhaps 3 months?

What if I want to join a clan and they are on PvP 1 and I am on PvP2? Do I lose everything I have had to grind for ..many, many hours wasted? Surely not!  At least one move for this reason needs to be permitted.

You lose cash and crafting level, you keep rank xp, you know like ensign ect.
