admin Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 a good sign yes but i must admit i am willing to wait 15 minutes in a queue but not more You see Many people were saying that we only need one pvp server and were very upset when we added reserve servers. 2
Arnaud Arpes Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Remove the extra PVP server and beef up the existing one. Or does playing on PVP 2 keep XP, Gold, Items, etc?

mirror452 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) Or does playing on PVP 2 keep XP, Gold, Items, etc? Only xp. Thing is... Is it possible to "beef up the server" so easily, or would that be a lot of work? Edited January 23, 2016 by mirror452
eriks Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) I understand the server scaling issues. In my day job I run a live video product that serves 100K+ concurrent. The problem is that all my stuff is on one server. The only reason to play on PVP2 is to grind XP. I understand why you don't want to share progress across PVP and PVE servers. Not sure why real time persistent player state needs live there. This may have been a bad architectural decision made long ago, Edit: It also means that on weekends people are likely to stay logged in all the time even when they are not playing. Cmdr Thrudd Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Over 800 on the PvE server too! Its mental.
Alejandro Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Peak numbers. When numbers go down, after a few days/weeks, server #2 will have no use but to divide the existing playerbase. If the current infrastructure cannot support more than 2100 players and a hanful of NPCs on a map of this size, I'm worried. I expected the game to go towards more players and, especially, more NPCs on the existing map.

I think after we got these player numbers, the traffic is way too much, I would like them to reduce the number of NPC's....
Scout Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Love to see how good the game is doing on steam. And i´m sure that this is going way over expectation and the team will address servers and queue´s in timely manner.
