Fluffy Fishy Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I was just looking at the redeemables and noticed the Niagara, I swear I haven't seen it before in game is it new? What kind of ship is it? Thank you
Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 It is a new ship, much like the Mercury Brig, with stern chasers, less Armor (HP), and the option to carry heavier carronades (if they have not changed it since I tested it). It has 135 155 crew, so if you can use a Navy Brig or Mercury Brig, you should be able to use this ship.
Sly Sliver Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) Picture Yeah I know bad picture but you get the idea. I for one think it looks like a floating dancefloor, ugly ugly! Might be good though, HUGE carronades. Edited January 23, 2016 by Azakan 2

What kind of ship is it? Thank you Its not in the game yet but most if not all the work is already done. Games lab was holding back releasing its new ships for EA
Kokerpiraat Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Please note, it doesn't work with shallow water battles. I just wasted my time trying.

Feels squishy after my tanked up navy brig though. Might take a bit of getting used to. 2
Kokerpiraat Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) is not a shallow water^? Then why am I able to enter Shallow water ports with it Also, it is the same size as a mercury. Edited January 23, 2016 by Kokerpiraat
Fluffy Fishy Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 Not really my kind of thing but still I'm glad more ships are leaking their way in now

Cmdr Thrudd Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I think it'll be quite popular. I wonder if its craftable in game now too
Jon Allen Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I'm not sure if I'll like the ship, but I like that in terms of crew numbers it fits the big gap between the Mercury/Navybrig/Snow and the first frigate, the Cerberus.
LeeUK Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 It is a great ship to have in a wolfpack - i.e group of small ships hunting lone players in bigger ships. Especially the exceptional one, it is fast, can let the more durable smaller ships distract the bigger ship and swoop in for hit n run broadside with 32lb carronade, that is some brutal firepower for a small ship.
Prater Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Then why am I able to enter Shallow water ports with it The designation of ports only matters for port battles. Otherwise any ship can enter any port if you can get to it. Many shallow water ports you can get to in deep water ships, because there are channels that you can follow to get to them. This is an awesome feature in my opinion, because if you know the channels, you can get places most people can't.
