olyball Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) Hi all, I want to buy this game, but I'm a little concerned about it running on my Intel i5 Dual core i5 3230M (2.6GHz) 3MB. I've done a comparison with the minimum required processor: http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-4570-vs-Intel-Core-i5-3230M/2770vs2772 It looks to be a good chunk slower. Anyone have experience running this game on a slower processor than the minimum requirements? Thoughts? P.S I'm ok in terms of RAM (8GB DDR3 1600 MHz) and probably GPU (Nvidia GeForce GT 740M) EDIT Feb 16: For anyone finding this in the future. The game runs just fine. In fact my graphics card wasn't working for the first week or so and I was getting ~10fps on the lowest settings. It kind of sucked as the game did not look as nearly as nice as it could. With the graphics card working (doh!) I can run in on medium at ~10fps. Medium is a ton better in terms of how pretty the game looks. 10fps is fine and I don't notice any problems in big fights. So far the game runs great and I really enjoy it. No crashes or other issues. Edited February 16, 2016 by olyball
OlavDeng2 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I think the game would be playable, but you will get low fps, i think in this case your gpu is more a limitation than your cpu. 1
Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 There's absolutely no guarantee it will run at all. If it does, Olav's statement will likely be true. The game isn't currently optimized, so you may experience instability, crashes, and/or the game just flat out refusing to run if your system doesn't meet the minimum specs. 1
olyball Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 It runs... I've turned the graphics to the minimum and it's fairly playable at ~10fps. Will just have to see long term about crashes. 1

Voi_Ta Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) I have http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Phenom-II-X4-965-vs-Intel-Core-i5-3230M/606vs2772 (+10% more power) and it runs at 40%-60%. I think I am bottlenecked by AMD 7850 http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GeForce-GT-740M-vs-AMD-HD-7850/m7671vs2182which is 300% more powerful then yours. I will tweak the settings for a battle to minimum and will tell you the fps. Low Open world - 45 Battle 2 ships - 45 Ultra Open world - 25 Battle 2 ships - 40 Resolution 1680x1080 full screen. CPU 40-60% both scenarios. So in the end it might be that the CPU is my problem and the game is not very optimized to use it properly. It uses all cores. Edited January 23, 2016 by Voi_Ta
Ink Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 If it helps, at the moment I'm under athlon x4 750k, radeon 7770 and 4gb ram on low-med custom settings, it is quiet playable still, it is in general around 20-30 FPS and around 10-15 in a tough battle

What settings do you use?
Lucas Corso Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I'm running the game fine on my i3 dual core with a gtx 750 vid card. Getting 55-60 fps on low grahics setting.
