Better tutorials?

Are there any better tutorials to teach new players how to play (and win?)

 

I can't seem to get the hang of this game. I will engage an enemy with 3 times the number of forces in open field, with artillery support and he will beat me almost every time. 

 

Also is there a way to make your men fallback but in order? It seems the ai is able to have troops march backwards but continue to shoot.

 

I really like this 90s style of rts and want to get good at it. Can anyone help me?

Press the button "Fall back" to execute this maneuver. It is available according to unit type and proximity of enemy.
