I recommend the Turtlebeach PX22, I've been using it for a while and it works great. Might be a bit pricey depending on your budget, but you get amazing quality for your money.

I've got the Kingston hyperx cloud II - solid build but not too painful even on long weekend gaming binges. Very good quality -- only problem is the price tag. I definitely advise getting it on sale.

Easily the best headset I've ever used was a TurtleBeach X12 Something like that. Was $60 when I got it, lately I've moved to a set of studio headphones and a separate mic, but that's a bit pricey.

I couldn't agree more the TB x12 is an amazing headset, mine lasted for about 4-5 years!

I now use the Hyper cloud II which is also an amazing headset but is expensive

I've had this for over 3 years and it still works like a charm.

As you can see, it has it's legacy. Mostly known for durability, but in my opinion it's one of the better TB headsets. I have some expensive wireless pair, used them a week before I switched back to the X12s. The sound was just sad. The X12s are plenty loud, and have nice bass response. The microphone is of good quality too. I'd say hands down it's well worth the $60.

I have a 9 dollar walmart headset and its worked perfect for years despite cats and dogs abusing it and a fat A$$ ex wife sitting on it. When i was in clans , guilds etc everyone always said i had the most constant and good sound.
