ping equals the lag between your computer and the server. Unless you live perfectly half way between the EU and US servers the latency will be different.

This, to be more excact it is more like the travel time for the data, however the idea is the same, without bending the laws of physics we will not be able to have equal ping across all servers

Ping is the time it takes for data to go from your computer to the server, measured in milliseconds. It's variable depending on your distance to each servers. Devs cannot change that.

If what you'Re asking for is to move both EU and US servers on the same continent for equal pings, it kinda defeats the purpose of regional servers.

ping is based on several variables mentioned in this topic and not mentioned. High ping could be the result of several things with different causes and sources. Typically if you have a decent connection you won't have any issues. If you are getting high ping and usually don't, it could be your router, something you are downloading, streaming or uploading. It could be your computer, your isp, or something along the many hops that was mentioned before. It could be something wrong with the server as well but unless the majority are having the issue it is usually someplace between.
