Beer4TheBeerGod Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 For the past two days I've tried to connect to the servers to play the game. Thus far I've reinstalled the client twice (I have Steam), verified the files, maximized update priority, and also tried deleting my character to create a new one. Nothing has worked. I select a server, login via Steam ID, select my character, a black dot appears in the bottom corner, and then nothing happens. Revision is 26373. Any ideas? I really want to play.
Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 What are your processor and video card specifications?
Beer4TheBeerGod Posted January 21, 2016 Author Posted January 21, 2016 What are your processor and video card specifications? i5-4570, 16GB RAM, GTX-770 2GB I also did a connection test that was successful. Report is NAS-83569.

Beer4TheBeerGod Posted January 21, 2016 Author Posted January 21, 2016 Fairly recent video drivers? Version 359, November 15. I'm updating to the latest to make sure.
Beer4TheBeerGod Posted January 21, 2016 Author Posted January 21, 2016 Eh Beer.... It's not working for you because the DS wills it... He wants you to play Line of Defense... lol LOL. All I want to be a pirate. Is that too much to ask?
Beer4TheBeerGod Posted January 21, 2016 Author Posted January 21, 2016 I updated to the latest drivers and it does not seem to have changed anything.
Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Dang, this will take a little more knowledge than I have here. There should be a Developer along to take a look in a few hours.
avasyliev Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Basing on description, problem seems to be in network connection or firewall settings. Please make sure you have firewall disabled, particularly for the following ports: http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/2892-technical-problems-reporting-guide-known-issues-and-their-solutions/?p=135352#entry135352

How do I go about doing this?
Beer4TheBeerGod Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 To be clear I have no problem connecting to the shard. I just can't seem to do anything past the player selection screen. I click my name and press START, a little black dot appears in the bottom left corner, and then nothing.
Beer4TheBeerGod Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 Specifically if you watch this video: At 1:45 he jumps to a screen that says "Entering port". I never jump to that screen.
Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 The Developers are asleep for the night, expect a response in a few hours.
avasyliev Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Please try turning off your firewall (Windows 10 instruction): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/turn-windows-firewall-on-or-off If it does not work, please try using "Report crash" Steam launch option and post here resulting issue name (that will be printed after report is sent). We will check our server logs for more detailed information

Beer4TheBeerGod Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 So I downloaded WireShark and I captured the results. raskolnikoff Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 something is definitely blocking data flow from our servers to the game on your PC. Can you please send Wireshark dump to me (with content filtered to Naval Action only) Also can you please make another dump with Fiddler? email: denis@game-labs.net Thanks and sorry for incovinience
Beer4TheBeerGod Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 I don't know what Fiddler is, but if you let me know I'll do what I can. Thanks for all of this, I sincerely appreciate it.
raskolnikoff Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 here is fiddler: https://www.telerik.com/download/fiddler it's a tool for traffic analysis (like Wireshark)
