Server population load question

Was not sure if this should be in GD or technical, apologies if in the wrong place.

If the server can only hold 3k players what happens if more than that are online?

Best case scenario is we would not be able to log on( I guess)

Would current users get kicked off to allow newer users to log in?

Would there be any potential lag/crash issues?

New server will appear, those new players will have to join the new one. My guess.

The info I got is that one server can hold 2k people.

If its full you can not enter that server but you can enter the other server. Its the same character on all the servers and the XP is synchronized.

So if the server I play on is full I have to start grinding gold again on the new one, or does the progress carry over?

This is another thing Gane-Labs has to solve soon. If the pvp1 server suddenly is full. What should I do then? Abandon my clan and pay with people I do not know?Should I start all over again, collecting gold and buying ships. (XP not gold is transfered). This is not a solution that will last. There is a need for new ideas. Like rewarding clans that decide to play on just ONE server.
