John Paul Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 If Free Towns cannot be conquered, how can you ever really hold and control territory? It seems like the only ports worth creating an outpost in would be free towns and then just use them to harass surrounding cities without too much fear of retribution. I'm sure there is something I'm just not seeing.
'Sharpe Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 The truth is, the plan for endgame RvR has never been explained. For example, how does a faction "win" the map? What is the purpose of regional capitals? How will shallow water ports encourage vessel variety? There is a huge opportunity here for a meta-solution that involves map victory conditions, trade routes, production centers, and improved Pirate faction mechanics. Many players have put forth solid ideas that combine all of these things. So far admin has been silent on this. I am assuming this means they have big plans.
John Paul Posted January 14, 2016 Author Posted January 14, 2016 Interesting. Hope they get it worked out because it seems like tactics and strategies go right out the window because of the free towns. And...it seems the trading/ship building hubs would always be in the free towns too. /shrug
