poison Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 First time it happened, I dismissed it. Second time I mentioned it in SLRN teamspeak and was told to F11 it...here's the screenshot of the first boarding. Their incredibly low crew count stems from me trying to see if you can drop an enemy's crew count to 0 (does not seem to be possible). The second time did not have nearly the differential in crew.
balticsailor Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 It is not realy a bug. there are modules that can give you a moral boost: grog ration and sword fighting hand book as well as ships that have a boost to moral: pirate frigate and i think the privateer as well. 1
Allons! Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Their incredibly low crew count stems from me trying to see if you can drop an enemy's crew count to 0 (does not seem to be possible). Its usually 3 crew members left: The Captain is in the Internet, one is in Jail ,one is the ships kobold. Thats why u cant kill them.
Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I have frequently reduced the total crew in trader's vessels to 0 - it was the way I used to capture trader's cutters before boarding was made a little easier, or when they were escorted and I didn't want to be sitting idle while their escort pounded me capturing them.
Elouda Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 We had a Yacht get its crew blown to 0 by one of the towers in a shallow port battle recently, and the ship was still seaworthy. It kept going past the tower and out to sea... 1

Ah, in the wee hours of the morning I forgot to mention that I had nothing giving me a morale boost; for both of those fights, I was in a privateer with Pellew's Sights as the sole equipped upgrade.
Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 We had a Yacht get its crew blown to 0 by one of the towers in a shallow port battle recently, and the ship was still seaworthy. It kept going past the tower and out to sea... That is the danger of totally decrewing another ship - it stays fully under sail and can reel drunkenly around the battlefield. After decrewing a cutter once, I had to start dodging it repeatedly while handling its escort. It was going in lazy eternal circles.
poison Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 Back to the original topic, should it be possible to get over 100 morale with no upgrades boosting morale?
Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I'm unsure. Did you press F11 and report it?
poison Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 No, didn't think about it until after capturing the other ship. Thought posting the potential bug here would be alright, is it not?
Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 It's ok, but it doesn't give the developers what they need to quickly research and potentially reproduce the bug. The next time you see this happen, please immediately press F11 and fill the form out with as much detail as possible. Thanks. 1
Elouda Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Fairly certain you can get over 100 with some of the modules like Grog Rations, etc.
Prater Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Back to the original topic, should it be possible to get over 100 morale with no upgrades boosting morale? Does the Privateer give a moral boost? I am pretty sure admin stated it had boarding boosts, but he didn't say how.
DeathGenie Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Does the Privateer give a moral boost? I am pretty sure admin stated it had boarding boosts, but he didn't say how. If its anything like the pirate frigate it has a invisible built in boarding parties upgrade, they mentioned it just has boarding boosts as well, but thats what the boarding boost is
