Steam Pricing

I'm wondering (and I might get no answer to this question) But what are your thoughts on the game pricing on EA steam release? On the purchase page it says the base game is worth about 30$ while the rest of the 10$ was the pre order bonus. Will people pay 30 on steam, or will it be 40 for them. Just wondering.

I asume it will be €30 on steam, without any premium ships.

 

I dont have a clue how much premium ships will be, but obviously >€10.

I believe Steam takes a cut of all game sales, do they not? The price may go up to to compensate for their cut.

That is indeed correct, iirc steam takes 30% of all sales.

That's unfortunate for those unwilling or unable to use paypal that they are being denied a chance for the yacht. Had there been another option I would of used it, as I'm sure others would have as well.

Actually, I believe when you are purchasing the game on the website it states that the game value is $29.99 and the yacht value is $20.00?

 

Shouldn't the price in early access be 30 dollars and then raise to 40 when it officially launches like most indie games?

I think it is meant as the game having a value of $30 during alpha with the value increasing to $40 during EA. If it's so it isn't very clearly formulated though
