poison Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Ahoy, mateys, English Captain poison at yer service... Aaaaaand there ends my sailor-speak. For brief history: I come from a somewhat old (recently had its 5-year anniversary of full release in NA) MMO by the name of uncharted waters online (UWO). Looking for something a little more realistic in both look and feel, I stumbled upon Naval Action in late 2014. By periodically checking around the forums, I got more and more turned on to what I saw; a more realistic Age of Sail ship combat game. So with the recent release of alpha keys, I decided it was high time to upgrade my naval combat experience and bought two keys (one for myself, one for my girlfriend who has shown interest in the graphics and I've gotten hooked on UWO for around a year now). What I'm doing in NA: I'm currently learning plenty from the occasional guide, but mostly using the tried-and-true method of personal experiences and letting the sea be a harsh mistress. I am unsure right now if I wish to create a guild, join one, or simply go solo (likely the latter until at least the wipe). About me personally: I am a published chemist and hold two Bachelor's degrees (Chemistry and Mathematics, attained concurrently). As of this post I am 24. I am teaching myself C++, mainly to automate certain easy but tedious tasks at work. I do have a love of forum games such as Mafia, and am considering hosting one here if there is enough interest. If there's anything else you'd like to know, please send me a private message or post in the thread and ask away! N.B.: I do prefer "poison" over "Poison". Even at the beginning of sentences. While I don't expect everyone to observe my preference, I will do my best to preserve capitalization of other captains' names -- even when shortened. Feel free to add me on Steam!

poison Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 Thanks, Tief and William...or is it Drake for short? And I'm glad someone recognized it, though around these parts it's probably recognized more often than not.
