Yankee Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Steam has just pushed a software update that killed Steam on my Mac. I keep this computer at an older OS for business applications and won't be updating the OS just to play a game. Had Steam allowed me to hold at the last workable version of hte program that would have been perfectly workable but that's apparently not their modus operandi so thanks for all the games folks, see ya' around the bend.

OlavDeng2 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Use this as an excuse to get new shiny stuff! well this, you know the saying, if it aint broke dont fix it, well your just broke so go out and fix it (buy new shiny hardware that is)
Nick Thomadis Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 What is the OS you have? Maybe if you uninstall and re-install the steam client it fixes?
MacVaultDweller Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Buy a copy of Windows and install it with Bootcamp for your gaming.
Nick Thomadis Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 The game is multi-platform so it is not needed to rebuy. Can be installed in a Windows, Linux or Mac system and play with Steam, if Steam works in the system,
chiefmagua Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 A more cost effective solution to buying new hardware is to purchase a copy of the game on the Mac App Store. Just a thought. Chief
