E.P. Juel Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) Hello everyone I stumpled upon different threads where people discuss the pirate playstyle. In one of them I see pirates argue with different perspectives. That was when I thought; why not a simple pirate code or set of rules, that every pirate chould choose to follow if fits their playstyle. I did some research and discovered that many different pirate codes existed. The interesting thing is how much they vary in their foundation, where some was formed giving (really) good terms for the captain and very strict rules for the crew to follow(hard punishments). In contrary there was also democratically chosen captains, where the treasure/loot was divided equal between survivors and a crew members vote counted as the same as the captains. Bartholomew even had pension for his men (as a part of the code) if they got wounded. (variable to severity of the wound) Do you think a pirate code could be made for Naval Action? What I was thinking as a beginning: PIRATE CODE - "A crew choose its own fate. Attacking fellow sailers of the black flag is allowed, but remember pirates has a common enemy.. everyone" 1. The right to Parley 2. blank 3. blank You would not expect all pirates to keep them, but some would. Any ideas? Edited November 9, 2015 by E.P. Juel 1
Captain Teach Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 The Pirate code varied from captain to captain, the right to Parley again will have to honored by both captains. At the end of the day Pirates are free men there for make their own decisions. 1
