Beres Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Hi! the water surface looks quite terrible outside a certain radius. I've tried basically every setting ingame, it wont help. Glad for any suggestions. Running intel i5-4200U, 8 GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 8750m with 2 GB VRAM
Captain Holman Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I don't think this is for the support thread. Maybe post here? http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/forum/40-open-world-discussions/
Ned Loe Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Post screenshot with your video settings, it looks like your water is on low.
Beres Posted October 20, 2015 Author Posted October 20, 2015 (edited) Hi! changing water quality or texture quality doesn't help at all. It even pronounces the problem. See screenshot below, was taken with water on high and textures on max. 1366x768 Fullscreen Shadow Quality: Low Shadow Details: Low AA: off AF: off Water: high Battle FPS: off OW FPS: off Lights: Low Textures: max Level of detail: normal Mesh: normal Transparent sails: yes Reflection culling: about 15 % from the left side Edited October 20, 2015 by Beres
Schuetzengel Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 looks like a wrong LOD setting, did you use ati tool, or other 3d party program to modify your ati driver? if yes try to set lod to default, or even delete them and reinstall the newest driver
Beres Posted October 20, 2015 Author Posted October 20, 2015 thanks! What is a LOD setting anyhow? I in fact deinstalled my AMD driver recently and replaced it with a Leshcat version in order to be able to play GTAV on my Acer laptop with AMD switchable graphic... Will try to install newest AMD driver and tell you how it went.
