Barberouge Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 What are you listening to these days ? Please share !
Marion van Ghent Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Dietrich Buxtehude, Christopher Simpson, J. F. Fasch, and lots of Telemann. (Not so much Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, or Corvus Corax lately... or Josquin, Isaac, and Ockeghem, either. Or Orlando Gibbons or William Lawes for that matter.)
Barberouge Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 Got a link so we can listen to some songs here and there ?
Marion van Ghent Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Perhaps tomorrow I can poke around for links, but it's late and quiet time in the house now But I dare say Googling any of the above composers or searching for them on YouTube will likely turn up recordings; they just may or may not be historically informed performances (for which I am a stickler! Viola da gamba player here...).
Mirones Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 god old german marches from around 1804, the general classic vivaldi and so on. but i cant wait to have some awesome combat music from the Anno series the music they use are so superb. this for harsh battles in Naval action hopefully soon: but from the games i tryed sofar i like 1404 the most
Barberouge Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 I've been listening to that sound for 20 years

I like listening to Gregorian chant when playing Total War games though Some flute (Rimsky-Korsakov, Flight of the Bumble Bee): Beat box version:
Marion van Ghent Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I play baroque flute and recorders (flûte à bec)... as well as other renaissance woodwinds when I can get my hands on them
Brigand Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 What you get when members of the Dutch Youth Orchectra manage sneak on stage before a performance: (original video: Wonderful Days op een xylofoon) ~Brigand
Barberouge Posted April 22, 2014 Author Posted April 22, 2014 What you get when members of the Dutch Youth Orchectra manage sneak on stage before a performance: One can hear the Dutch touch of happy gabber, but the melody sounds better Some acid tribe: Also, some electronic opera:
