When will I be able to make a second caracter?

I have one caracter presently, my pirate. I want to create a trading character by using one of the three caracter slots that have been available until recently. I hear the reason caracter creation is on hold as there have been some who have used the system to create loads of wealth unscrupulously, worse than pirates I say.

 

I haven't seen any posts about this issue.  Purhapse I overlooked it so feel free to just link to the topic so I can find out whats going on. Is there any projection on when I can start playing another style character?

This could be possible for testing when we fix couple of exploits that were allowed by alt accounts. Like constant creation and deletion of new accounts to sell yachts, use 10,000 starting money and using 1000 hours and repeating again.

For a temporary fix disable character deletion? 

 

I have 3 characters, so not complaining, but can appreciate the disadvantage of other players and the importance of a level playing field.

I was thinking that if players were only able to create 2 characters max with the rule being one can be pirate and the other a trader (neutral, spanish, french ect.). One would not be allowed to creade either two pirates or two traders and there would be a maximum number of overall characters created, for example you can only create a maximum of 4 characters total, so you can recreate either or both of your allowable characters only once in case you change your mind about your options (nationality, name).
