I am a tester - so I am prepared to lose things. I just now went afk for 2.5 hours while sailing in a basic Lynx towards an outpost, came back to find myself in a end of battle screen (so I got killed on the way) in that port (outpost) I had the basic Lynx (now with 4 dura's) but -------- but ------ my Snow that I had left there was gone, gone, gone.

 

Apparently it was boosted by pirates or some such - I was away while it was deleted. I'm OK I'll just buy another one

In the released game we will have at least some tender souls who will get really really really soul hurt if the game steals a ship from them, so my suggestion is something like a tribuneral to adjudicate their issue with some ability to reissue either their ship or some gold to cut down on the soul hurt rage quits.
