Destraex Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Just killed two pirate mercury's in a row and wondered if there should be a 7hr delay in them respawning. You know so that a player can literally clear pirates from the sea and then capture their ports to make it permanent. Until the next world cycle... anyway. 1
maturin Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I don't think we need pirate NPCs at all. The player population is high enough for that faction. The only purpose of the NPCs is so neutrals have someone to fight.
Captain Comery Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I think the re spawn time should be shortened. People always snatch up traders and they don't come back for like a week in game. How is a pirate supposed to make a living by trying to get in a better ship to plunder more when the only ships we can beat are gone. For gods sake I entered a battle today where a constitution was attacking a trader Lynx. The person was a player and he snatched my pay check.

Mirones Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 dont forget that npc's fight each other lowering their population constantly. maybe we should limit that to some degree weuld be the fastest and easier solution
