akincomer Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 If this game will be going into early access on steam soon, why don't they make a steam store page? I couldn't find the game on steam at all. I would assume putting it up there would help build hype which would build sales later. Is it because the Devs prefer having Early Access be purely for actual testers? Was just wondering. 1
Booyaah Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 (edited) http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/4305-when-will-we-be-able-to-pre-order-naval-action-again/ You email the devs they might give you access or not. EA will not come out until the game is closer to completion...a few months at least I'd guess. In the meantime, they don't want to do any external marketing, they want to make the best first impression when they finally release it to the masses. Don't let the cool screenshots and videos fool you, the open world is still in early alpha and a ton of major features are still missing simply due to time. There is no in-game tutorial, map, quests or commissions, player crafting, port battles, or guild stuff, etc. It's mostly just sailing and combat right now with basic trading. Leviathan Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 If you look under the Greenlight section of Steam you will find it. They won't open up on Steam for purchase until crafting and some other stuff is in. Also, they need to make sure the servers can handle the additional load. Once it's open on Steam you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube so they want to make sure it's ready and stable.

akincomer Posted July 29, 2015 Author Posted July 29, 2015 Ahhh thank you for the replies. I did indeed find the page. Hopefully they go into a full fledged marketing scheme. Large need of players is great for them and us. 1
