Agesilaus II Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Do you think the player who set fire to a ship should have all the damage caused by the fire added to his total amount caused thus giving him more xp and gold?
Flavalicious Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 (edited) I hope they tweek fires a bit, its sooooo rare for something to reach the point of explosion. The other day we had a pirate pavel player on fire, and because i had just rammed him, and he was super overwhelmed in numbers, he didnt go to survival in the hopes of exploding, the fire got STUPIDLY big, then when i broke free and got away from the explosion range, he went survival and put the fire out completely lol. Dont want to see stuff explode too often through RNG, but i would like to see some degree of tweeking, and maybe have the AI be poor at fighting fires so we get to watch them explode more This was taken before the fire reached its greatest point of insanity. It was covering the whole back of the ship, outside and inside, and he put it completely out in like 30 seconds after going survival. Was nuts (and disappointing, wanted to see an explosion). lol Edited July 29, 2015 by Flavalicious
admin Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 If the fire is far from the magazine of that vessel And if the player has enough crew to put down the fire on survival Then explosion will not happen. Explosions currently happen ONLY if fire reaches the magazine.

So i did some research today and found a picture to use as an example; - The magazine is in "Orlop" placed towards the bow. (This is on the Diana class 46-gun frigates from the eighteenth century). 1
